The automobile sector is chosen because this sector is a highly dynamic sector which has a high sustainability requirement. Also, sustainability in this industry is given much importance especially because of the high negative impacts that the automobile companies have had on the environmental aspects. Also, the global automobile industry is a huge and complex industry that is affected by many social, economic, political, technological and environmental factors. Thus, this project is aimed at identifying the drivers, opportunities and risks that may be faced by the new company started in this sector.
Though a number of varied factors in the global business environment affect the automobile businesses, yet the main challenges and risks that may be faced by the new business venture in the next 40 years are identified to be the technological and environmental factors and trends. Also, innovation and strategic development are identified as the key drivers for this industry in the future according to the current trends and patterns. As a part of the concluding remarks, the ways of implementing the best practices of sustainable development in the new business venture are derived and discussed. This includes a discussion regarding the strategic development of innovation, technological advancements, and sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
A future business scenario for 2050 would involve the development of processes and products that are sustainable, eco-friendly and that add value to the overall communities, societies and the environment.
