Interviews were conducted between two respondents and their opinions compared and analyzed. Both participants have been involved to varying degrees in partnering projects with both embracing the idea of moving forward with partnering in the future. Contrary to this, their opinions differ greatly on some of the partnering concepts but more importantly, their opinions differ on how they feel partnering should move forward. With these findings, the author feels that the benefits of partnering would greatly reward clients and main contractors and make projects a great success.

However, this will take time. It is these timescales that may inhibit partnering. The Construction industry is very fast moving and although partnering takes place in many projects, management personnel change and companies are passed on. As trust pervades society and partnering, the ability for different people to keep the trust and understanding in place that has been built upon during previous projects remains in my opinion unlikely. Secondly, I would like to thank my family. Firstly my partner Michael Mc Grotty, whose continuous support has made me realize my potential and with that the person I am.

Secondly my two darling kids, Dylan and Caitlin, for putting up with me being tired after many late nights working on this.
