The introduction section shall not be more than a page long and will conclude with a strong thesis statement, and which shall declare that the paper will be a discussion of the use of statistics in marketing. The sections to be discussed after the introductory page will include following; data source, marketing research, marketing planning and decision making.

Data Source This is an important component in statistics, and this section shall explore its role in marketing, both at the academic research level and when applied in real marketing research on the ground (Mazzocchi, 2008). Marketing ResearchThis is the practical inquest into the popularity or market share of brands, and statistics is the tool used in this process (Chakrapani, 2004). . The section shall cover the use of statistics with respect to marketing research, and its popular use in the present society (Dawar & Parker, 1994).

Marketing Planning Statistics aids in providing a more clear knowledge and accurate description of marketing inquest, and provides a platform for the professionals to prepare ahead before the final push towards an issue (Johnson & LeBreton, 2004). Hence the section will provide a comprehensive overview of this important use of statistics in marketing. Decision making The use of statistics in drawing a clear and accurate inference in both academia and professional research is a vital cog of statistics for marketing (Black, 2008).
