Lecturer: Due Business skills are fundamental in maintaining of smooth relations between departments by allowing communication to flow with ease. Business skills also lead to limited conflicts in the workplace.
2) Communication. This skill is important since it helps one to pass information to the relevant people in the work place. People that are able to communicate in the workplace are also less stressed. Writing skill is important because all kinds of writing must be official and straightforward, polite in the workplace.
3) Cost benefit analysis refers to the process by which an estimates and totals of the equal monetary value of the benefits and costs of a capital investment are assessed over a given time.
4) A business refers to an organization engaging in commerce either private, partnership or a public enterprise that at many times aims at making profit or improving its shareholders or members’ livelihood.
5) The customer service department is the heart of the organization since customers are the business of the organization. When customers are happy and contented, business is good.
6) Trend analysis helps a business predict what will happen in the future depending on the current market forces, demand and supply hence it is able to plan and be ready.
7) The tangible characteristics are those that can be seen for instance broad shoulders, while intangible ones are those that are part of personality formation. For instance a quick temper.
8) This is the process by which a business compares its processes and performance with another business that is considered more successful than it in that specific field. It helps staff and the business at whole improve the way they carry out activities in order to improve performance.
9) This refer to the stressors that are as a result of one’s workplace. Influenced by critically analyzing and then choosing where you would want to work and what stressors you would like to experience.
10) These are stressors generated by certain situations and vary among individuals. One can influence them by developing positive skills and attitudes and by reducing negative energies.
11) These are those stressors one experiences as a result of body response to given situations. One can influence personal stressors by first identifying them and then applying skills to minimize and eliminate them.
