Management Information System Player and Team Details My in the SAP game is II and my team letter is I. Team I finished fourth in the game with a total net income of 32,406.502. Interpretation of End of Game StatisticsTeam I finished fourth because of its lower total net income. However, team I recorded the second highest sales (504,538.11). Only team H had recorded higher sales that team I with its total sales summing up to 523,542.93. Recording high sales and margin is not considered in the ranking of the teams.

Total net income is used for the ranking of the teams. The statistics indicate that a team should consider its ROE to rank higher than other teams. Generally, a team should be all-rounded in the industry. Recording high ROE makes my team rank higher than the other teams. Sales strategy and margin do not account a lot to the performance of my team and its players as much as ROE contributes to the success of the team and its players. This was the case for my team which performed well on its sales, but was ranked forth. 3. A Brief Explanation of the Strategy and Methodology Employed by my TeamMy team employed Porter’s differentiation strategy to compete in the industry.

The strategy is used to differentiate products so that they can be outstanding from those of your competitors. The high sales by my team are because it can sell products continuous. The strategy ensured that my team sold its products to loyal customers as well as new customers. The team is able to retain its customers who value the differentiated products. The major weakness of this strategy is that our competitors might imitate the products thus confusing our loyal customers. This could be the reason that we did not record the highest sales.

Therefore, we need to continue differentiating our products quality from that of our competitors. Good quality will ensure continuous loyalty from our customers (Porter, 17).4. Things Learnt in the ActivityI learnt that a company does not have to use the same strategies used by other players in the industry. By using a well-calculated strategy, a company can edge out its competitors in the industry. For example, our strategy to differentiate our products from those of our competitors was unique.

Despite ranking lower than three of our competitors, we managed to record the second highest sales. Another thing I learnt from this activity is the essence of observing your competitors strategies in the industry. It gives the company a framework for planning future strategies based on the competitors’ strategies that affect the industry (Porter, 18).5. Its sales performance is consistent. From the graph, only team KK shows higher and consistent sales than team II. This is because of the quality of the products it offers to its customers. Differentiation of its products also increases customer loyalty. Question #2: What makes the performance of your team consistent and stable? The performance of team II is stable as indicated by the graph. For example, team HH drops its performance drastically to record lower performance than II from day 27.

Team EE does not sell its products from day 27. This shows the strategy of differentiation that maintains customers.
