Items for Consideration at the Next MeetingDear Ms. Lauren Alvarez,Thanks for reading this message!I realize you are busy, so I will make this quick. In regards to our Monday meeting, I am requesting we reschedule to another day say maybe the 22nd. For me, Monday is a tight day as I have reports to submit, which affect the smooth running of activities in the coming week. Hence, I hope you consider rescheduling our Monday meeting and thank you in advance for understanding. At Tech Shield, several problems have come to my attention.
Therefore, I would like to brief you on them so we can try to see what options are available. Here are some of the things for discussion during the Monday meeting:1) Reconsideration of Payments offered to employees due to budget strain and other expenses2) Casual wears like the Hawaiian shirts3) There is a gender imbalance in the workforce4) Equal promotions and advancement opportunities 5) Reduction of working hours in a week6) Motivation strategies that will encourage workers work on short noticeIn relation to the above-mentioned items, this year has been well and by giving room for improvements in areas mentioned above will help improve employees morale and confidence in the company.
For example, through installing auto sensors for the lights, the company managed to curb increased expenses. Furthermore, we encouraged workers through providing for them programs that allow ride sharing. Moreover, in addressing more interminable hour’s expectation for mothers, Tech Shield introduced a day care facility that enabled parents stay longer in the office. All these ideas worked well for all parties involved. Nevertheless, if we address the other things mentioned, then the company and employees will be satisfied, and attainment of organizational goals will be effective and efficient.
For instance, the issue of working longer hours can be handled in a different angle altogether like having flex weeks. Instead of fifty hour weeks, we could have employees alternate hours for each week. Some employees who had more time on a particular week could work more hours on that particular week and then work less on the following week. Everybody wins, and nobody loses. Besides, we could add more employees. Additionally, the day care is a facility we can utilize to our advantage in terms of having a negligible effect on the budget through advertising and promoting it to employees with children.
Hence, we could be more efficient by not training people to do new jobs.Otherwise, I look forward to meeting you and discussing on these issues as they directly affect the company. Regards,Miguel WilkensTechnical Analyst
