Research Methods Insert Insert Documented literatures are at most of the time based on research information. The accuracy of the discussion, conclusion and recommendation is based on the validity of results obtained and analysis performed. The paper introduces research method for employee management and longevity with detailed analysis of aspects of research. It presents coding methods and editing techniques in a vivid way using a sample of ten in the sample provided. How data is analyzed, and interpreted is also discussed based on the sample provided in the section entitled description of data.
The points and techniques that such data use to analyze research data are expounded in a manner to capture the essence.IntroductionData analysis refers to the assessment of data or information using methods that will establish the trends, relationships, and patterns, which can be initiated in the data. Hence, it involves subjecting data to statistical procedures to create relationships that exist between variables. There are two types of data, quantitative Data that requires collected information that can be interpreted into numbers and qualitative data.
The composition includes opinions, quotes, and descriptions that are collected. Data analysis helps to identify if there was any substantial change in the variables that are dependent and can bring about power in the data. Data analysis can also reveal factors that produce changes in the variables that are dependent. It also establishes the power that exists among different conditions, which affect the evaluation results.Problem descriptionThe analysis of data of the organization is associated with some limitations.
Most of the results evaluated only experiment a sample of the group, so it does not fully embody the organization as a whole. When statistics is misused, it leads to substantial errors that can bring about devastating decision making in an organization. On the other hand, techniques applied correctly, the interpretation of the results may be difficult to an organization that has no expertise. The significance statistical data of a trend computes the level in which the trend could be influenced by variations in the random sample might not be in agreement with its significance.
In addition, experts may interpret data that only favors an organization exempting out data that could be useful for future use. Coding and editingData coding refers to a systematic method to reduce large sets of data into smaller units that can be analyzed by designing categories and derivative concepts from the data. Coding will be developed when testing hypothesis before data collection. In addition, when establishing a theory, codes will be produced after evaluating data collected. It will bring about sense and analysis of data and to produce a general theory for studies that is qualitative.
It also enables the interpretation, retrieval of data and drawing of conclusions. The data will be coded and by using more variables than using fewer variables. In addition, the data will be coded and since the number of variables and probable data, range is known before collection. The data will be coded and by performing a per test questions to limit other responses. Data editing involves detection and correction of errors in data. The data will be selected by making sure that two or more items of data do not have values that are contradicting.
The data will also be compiled by examining high variances at output edit stage when there is suspicion. Data will be modified to check consistency edits to enable know whether right arithmetic relationship exist among two or more items of data.Data analysisThe data of an organization represents quantitative data since it can be translated into numbers. Quantitative data includes group of numbers, which requires survey results, the frequency of certain conditions, test score, and the number of people in the population.
To analyze data of the organization statistical analysis will be used. Statistics is the analysis, collection, presentation, and interpretation of data of an organization. When data is analyzed, analytical methodologies are used. Descriptive statistics will gain use in the summary of data sample of the body by using indexes that include a way, which is the average of the data sample of an organization. Standard deviation where the data is calculated to establish the level of dispersion of data set from its mean, which depicts conclusions from data, which are dependent to variations, that is random.
Another statistical methodology to made use of is the mathematical statistics that deals with probability theory. Probability theory will explain data, which is random. Standard statistical procedures will involve the establishment of a null hypothesis statement, which describes that there is no relationship between data.Descriptive statistics that will be employed in the studyDescriptive statistics is used to explain fundamental features of the data in the analysis. They give summaries that are simple about the measures and sample.
Descriptive statistics is used to present descriptions that are quantitative in a way that is manageable. Hence, it provides a summary that is powerful to help when making comparisons of units, people, or performance of an organization. In most cases the descriptive statistics that are used when analyzing data include the dispersion, the central tendency, and the distribution. The distribution involves summarizing the frequency of a single range or values of a variable. The distribution that is simple would list each variable value including number of persons having each value.
In our data, a typical way to explain the distribution of survey of the structure is by the number of employees, types of tasks performed, performance of the organization, and methods of motivating employees. Here, we can list the percentage number of employees at each job. In this case, we can categorize the groups of range scores according to values ranges and express it to the percentage of people in each job group. The central tendency estimates the center of the value of the distribution.
The central tendency includes mean, mode, and the median. To calculate the mean, all the values are summed up and then divided by number of values. For example, in our data, to get mean performance of the different tasks, you sum up all the organization performance then divide by the number of jobs. In addition, to calculate, the median the middle number of the set value is taken. In our data to obtain the median for performance I each task, you arrange the performance in numerical for the various tasks in ascending order.
The score that will appear to be in the middle will be the median. Mode is the value that frequently appears in the set of scores.Distribution refers to where values are spread around the central tendency. Measures of dispersion are of two types, which include standard deviation and the range. The range is obtained by deducting the lowest value from the highest value. In our data, to obtain a range for the organization performance, you take the highest performance minus the lowest performance.
Formula for standard deviation is Where X each score X’ is the mean or average N = the number of values Is summation sign ReferencesGilbert, N. (2008). Agent-Based Models.
