Comcast Stakeholder Identification and Value Analysis General Forces Analysis (GFA) and Porters Five Forces Industry Analysis (FFA)The threat to entry: the company has invested a lot of money to reach where it is, and this may pose challenges for any company which wants to enter the market. The company also has a high fixed cost to enter its operations.Bargaining power of suppliers: Switching cables with others are expensive, hence minimizes the pain by buying from Comcast.Availability of substitutes: there had never been a substitute until recently when consumers had a choice of satellite or cable.

For now, consumers can choose their connection to be cables or satellite, and it seems they will stay for longer.Competitive rivalry: there is competition from satellites which has resulted in price cuts, but not much. The prices have started rising again, despite the competition. However, there is fear that Cables or satellite will wipe the other to enable price cut.Detailed Value Chain Analysis (VCA)Comcast is a big organization and able to get favorable deals with content producers such as Disney and football leagues.

This gives them the advantage to have a frequent supply of content to its customers hence adding value. Similarly, the organization has a close tie with technology partners, hence have a strong ability to offer superior products to customers.The company has also increased customers value by converting its infrastructure to digital to maximize bandwidth capacity. It has also cluttered its acquisitions to improve the existing infrastructures. More so, it is leading in innovation by researching products and developments as well as supporting activities to enable it to satisfy its clients.

Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) AnalysisThe following is the SWOT analysis of Comcast.Strength:Strong media content gives it a selling point;Strong brand name is an advantage when partnering;Diversified portfolio such as the internet, publishing, and film help it gain market share;Weakness:A single-market dependency which is the United States;Not able to leverage the brand name;Slowest revenue growth due to reduced sales because of poor programming;Opportunities:Global openings to attract more audiences from other markets;Partnerships with online organizations such as Google;Acquisition of networks to reduce competition and add market share;Threats:The increasing growth of internet content hurts watching television;Competition from increased cable and satellite networks;Piracy of the products;Key Success Factors Analysis;The organization has a refined revenue structure which emanates from the sales of its products.

This has continued over the years to ensure the revenues are steadily increasing. Secondly, the company has focused category targeting. For instance, it has products tailored for each market niche it operates. This makes it the preferred network, hence gaining an advantage.The company is in a sales partnership with other organizations. This is essential in increasing its sales, hence ensuring its success as a market leader.
