Question Larry Page is recognised as one of the reputed American business magnet as well as computer scientists, born in the year 1976 in the month of March. He completed his studies from Stanford University and University of Michigan and became successful in positioning himself as an internet entrepreneur. Moreover, due to his extreme analysing ability and thinking power, he and Sergey Brin successfully developed the world largest search engine, Google in the year 1998. Very soon, Google attained numerous awards such as the technical excellence award, best image search engine, best design etc that enhanced the dominance and popularity of Larry Page in the entire globe as compared to many other rival players (Larrypage.weebly, n. d.). Question 2 Leadership is an art to motivate all the employees or followers towards the opinion or idea of the leader so as to accomplish the final objectives or goals of an organization. However, the style of leadership differs from one person to another. The CEO of Google, Mr. Larry Page comprises of a democratic leadership style (Northouse, 2010). It is also described as participative leadership style as it’s prime essence is to involve the employees at the time of management process and strategy formulations. Along with this, Mr. Page also encourages the employees of Google to present their ideas and suggestions so as increase their level of commitment and involvement within the organization. By doing so, the inner skills and knowledge of the employees might get improved that may prove effective for them in future era (Northouse, 2010). Other than this, the philosophy and attitude of Mr. Page is extremely convincing, influencing, confident and optimistic. This is because; for Larry, innovation is most essential requirement. He is always in a search of crazy or inventive ideas from his employees and team-building spirit so as to improve the reputation and market value of the organization of Google in the globe among many other rival players. In addition, as Mr. Page comprises of a very realistic and confident attitude so he always desires to get involved with the employees thereby amplifying their inner morale and motivation towards the assigned tasks. Furthermore, due to his introvert attitude, he always likes to hear and analyse the creative ideas of other employees so as to enhance the reputation and position of Google. Thus, it might be clearly revealed that due to his cooperative and supporting nature, diverse workforce is quite successful in Google. Along with this, due to participative and open minded nature of Mr. Page, all the employees try to offer high cooperation and commitment towards the work. Moreover, Mr. Page tries to hire the experienced and talented staffs within the organization so as to improve the prosperity of Google (Larrypage.weebly, n. d) and also desires to retain them for long time. The prime intention behind this desire is to increase the competitiveness and market value of Google among others like Yahoo, MSN, Rediff etc. Question 3 The personal and organizational values of Mr. Page are presented below: Offering close devotion to employee commitments and to attain the best results from them: Page always motivates his employees to present highly intelligent and creative ideas so as to make inventive changes. However, in order to fulfil this desire, he tries to attract the most intelligent individual so as to make inventions such as AdWords. Motivating the employees to build teams: Mr. Page always encourages and motivates the employees of the organization of Google to work in a group so as to improve their inner skills and talents to develop new things. By doings so, the level of devotion and dedication of the employees might get enhanced that may amplify their performance and productivity (Beardwell & Claydon, 2010). Improve the perseverance as much possible: due to the improvement of the perseverance, Google became successful in attaining, Google Maps, Street Views, and many others. Due to such underlining facts, the organization of Google became successful in positioning itself as a leader in search engine as compared to others. Question 4 The CEO, Mr. Page always tries to offer high attention over research and development department in order to present inventive items. However, in order to do so, Mr. Page tries to motivate the employees to work in a group or team so as to enhance their interpersonal relationship and coordination. As a result of which, the level of dedication and devotion of the employees enhances to a significant extent thereby offering inventive products and services to its target customers. Moreover, Mr. Page always tries to attract staffs of diverse cultures and religions so as to present inventive and creative ideas to the organization. However, in order to retain these experienced and skilled staffs, Mr. Page offers equal opportunities and facilities to them (Larrypage.weebly, n. d.). By doing so, the level of motivation and satisfaction level of the staffs enhanced thereby maintaining a uniform culture and environment within the organization (Adair, 2010). Question 5 The most important strengths of Mr. Page is that, all the employees of Google offer full trust and confidence over his ideas and suggestions. This is because; he tries to encourage and motivate all his employees towards the assigned tasks, by presenting its positive results. Along with this, as he always tries to get involved with the employees so, they respect and love, Mr. Page extremely. Due to which, he is recognised as an individual with extraordinary intelligence and thinking power that improved the reliability and position of the organization of Google in the globe among others. Other than strengths, some of the noteworthy weaknesses of Mr. Page are introvert, coyness and timidness that may reduce his level of communication and coordination among his co-team members (Larrypage.weebly, n. d.). Question 6 The quality of high thinking power and effective cooperative nature proved extremely worthy for Mr. Larry Page. These above mentioned inner qualities helped him to encourage the employees of Google to get motivated towards their work and improve the brand image and sustainability of the organization. Moreover, due to his high involvement nature, he became successful in attaining respect and trust of his employees that amplified his dominance and reputation. Other than this, he believed in diversity as he desired to attain creative ideas and views that may amplify the scope of Google in the globe among others. Thus, due to these above stated qualities, Mr. Larry Page is recognised as one of the most successful leader in the globe as compared to others (Larrypage.weebly, n. d.). Question 7 In order to enhance the sustainability and productivity of an organization, its extremely essential to maintain proper communication and coordination among all the employees. This is because if proper coordination is not maintained then, the interpersonal relationship among the employees may not remain good and the rate of devotion and motivation to work might also get declined. As a result of which, the level of performance of the organization might get reduced that may decline its brand image and portfolio among others. Other than this, politics and power is also offers direct influence over group dynamics that may hinder its productivity and profitability in long run. However, it might be stated that, in order to maintain the performance and coordination of the group members, proper communication and participative behaviour is extremely essential. Only then, through shared communication, inner knowledge and skills of the employees might get enhanced that may prove effective in developing varied types of inventive products and services (Brooks & et. al. 2009).
