Business Strategy/ Discussion Board where you are from, what is your major? My is Maha Bajaber from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Riyadh is the capital city of Saudi Arabia; it is also the largest of Saudi Arabia, the capital of Riyadh Province and belongs to the historical regions of Najd and Al-Yamama. I am currently studying at Lynn University. My major is Business Administration, specializing in International Business. International Business course focuses on studying the transactions that occur between two or more regions, countries, and nation beyond their political boundaries.

International commercial transactions can either be private or government, or sales, investments, transportations and logistics. 2) Any work experience you have had or currently have? I have two months in experience in a busy work experience. Between March and May 2014, I was an intern working at Brazeila Med Spa in Boca Raton; FL. Brazeila Med Spa is one of the Florida’s leading medical SPAs suppliers since 2007. I worked in three departments while I was in the company: the finance department, insurance department and in the reception.

In the finance department, I participated in balancing books of accounts, preparing tax returns, making cash collections and deposits, budgeting, and bank reconciliations. I received and recorded claims in the insurance department and provided customer care services at the reception. During the two-month period, I portrayed excellent qualities of honesty, loyalty, trustworthy, hard work, discipline, and determination. 3) This is required course, however please indicate what you would LIKE TO LEARN from this course and what things that you could get out of this course that would MOST help you as you transition or progress into the business world.

I would like to join the business strategy class. Business strategy encompasses strategic management of the organizational functions with the aim of enhancing the quality of productivity. I will acquire skills necessary for formulation, implementation, and evaluation of cross-functional decisions that will enable an organization to achieve its long-term goals. Additionally, I will acquire competencies that can help me to specify the organization’s mission, vision, and objectives, develop policies and plans and proper allocation of resources for business prosperity and sustainability. 4) What are 3-4 of your biggest strengths?

3-4 of your biggest weaknesses? My greatest strengths include: 1. I am adaptable and easily accept change with new initiatives and processes. I understand the dynamism and complex nature of the modern business world, hence, flexibility is my best strategy for business sustainability. 2. I maintain politeness when handling conflicts because I belief that politeness solves the issues half-way even before actual deliberation. 3. My third strength is the ability to accept challenges since it is the only way to keep my mind stimulated and avoid leaning towards repetitive skills.

My greatest weaknesses include: 1. I am a perfectionist; I have a sense of urgency to have projects completed on time and will take my time to ensure defect-free productivity. 2. I have difficulties in handling calculus problems, but I have sought the services of a tutor to assist effort on order to complete the remaining levels with excellence. 3. Sometimes I find it difficult to get along with uncooperative members who do not like teamwork; however, I always try to convince them by enabling them understand the necessity of working together. 5) Your plans after graduation from Lynn.

Given your skills and interests, what do you think will be a good opportunity for you as an employee or manager or owner in the employment or business world that matches up what your skills are with what the market will pay money for? This is my final semester at Lynn. I have applied for Masters Degree in five universities and I am waiting for their responses. I have proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office, Windows, Mac OSX and Prezi, which are critical in managing businesses.

As a prospective employee, I will assist in making oral presentations, team projects and carrying out surveys because I am proficient in communicating in both English and Arabic.
