Leadership and management even vary on the basis of emotional intelligent, where leaders are expected to use their intuition to make decisions and managers are expected to play by the book.

The relationship between subordinates and managers and followers and leaders are even quite different, managers are administer their subordinates and ensure that the provided instructions are followed, while leaders inspire their followers to come up with new ways of performing tasks (Hernandez, 2010, p.134). There is a difference in the way leaders as well as managers perform the task of problem solving, where managers try to solve problems through preset methods that have been well tested and they try to ensure that the organization adapts continues to operate in a stable manner (Kelly, 2010, p.3). On the other hand leaders do not follow set standards as they look different problems in different ways in different contexts and give importance to insight provided by their followers in decision making and instead of aiming for stability, they aim for growth and expansion of the organization.
