The Expo in Japan took place in 2010 while the Chinese expo took place in 1970. Nonetheless, the expos expanded the countries’ economies by opening them up to the international arena (“China’s Economic Miracle,” 2008).

Environmental problems are inherent in the two countries although Japan faced its challenges after the war while China experiences environmental problems and challenges to date. Critics point out that China puts economic advancements at the behest of its environment. In effect, this has led to Beijing acquiring the name “Greyjing” as an indication of the amount of pollution experienced in the city. Similarly, Japan faced criticism over the photochemical pollution experienced in Tokyo in the early 70s, which was due to industrial developments without considering the consequences on the environment.

Despite disparate political institutions, the path toward economic growth in China is similar to the Japanese approach to growth. Consequently, there is an indication that China may face challenges characterized by a slowdown in its economy, similar to Japan’s if the country failed to adopt approaches aimed at lessening the effects of an economic slump. In effect, the failure to implement approaches that addressed the challenges faced by an economic slump will ensure that China’s economic progress slowed in a similar way to Japan’s due to their similarities in economic growth.

Monfort College of Business
Popularly known as MCB, Monfort College of Business is the leading college in terms of the value it creates. In this case, the college provides an excellent learning environment that was better than the environment provided by its peers. Using high technology to support its curriculum, the college produces graduates by preparing them for the competitive job market in the United States. To achieve this, the college affiliates itself with the business community to provide students with hands-on experiences by providing the students a chance to have a professional overview of their future careers. In providing quality education, the college charges are reasonable and affordable, which ensures that the college enhanced its reputation amongst its peers (Baldrige National Quality Award, 2004).

Briefly, it is common knowledge that an organization’s success is determined by the quality it provided to its customers. In line with this, organizations should realize the willingness of customers to spend little, but achieve quality. Hence, all organizations should ensure that they maintained quality services in their operations.

The Importance of Employee Education, Training, and Development

An organization that seeks to achieve its strategic goals has to ensure that it conducted training, provided education, and develops programs for its employees. Various studies have emphasized the important role of employee training, education, and development for any organization that seeks to enhance its productivity. Given the important role of employee education, training, and development, Charimath (2003) observed the important role of these three activities in integrating new workers, enhancing the potential power of diversity, and in ensuring ethical business practices. The role of these activities ensures that an organization’s management and leadership inculcated lessons that made them value diversity and widen management and leadership practices while incorporating ethical business practices in their operations. Importantly, Charimath (2003) observed the important role played by an organization’s management in inculcating the organizational culture and goals through education, training, and development.

Possible Leadership and Motivation Advantages of using Older Workers for the Type of Work done in Nordam Europe

Various organizations have considered employing older workers over younger workers based on the experiences drawn from the use of older workers in Nordam Europe. In this case, there are three benefits associated with the employment of older workers. First, older workers have lower rates of absenteeism than other workers do. Secondly, older workers show higher levels of hard work, commitment, loyalty, enthusiasm, and innovation than other workers do. Finally, these workers have low rates of turnover, which saves an organization's recruitment costs and enhances the organization’s maintenance of its skills (Department of Work and Pensions, 2012). Similarly, Nordam Europe employs older workers due to the value that they add to the company after their recruitment. Importantly, the company has observed the ability possessed by older workers from other industries that help improve Normad’s profitability (Department of Work and Pensions, 2012).

Based on the foregoing, it is evident that employing older workers was important for a company’s strategic growth since an organization can exploit the qualities of these older workers. In this case, organizations require employees whose level of commitment was high to fulfill their duties and responsibilities in a company. Conversely, older workers are easier to motivate than younger workers since they are self-driven. Read More
