Business Models, & Cross-Cultural Experiences Question one The company can be able to succeed without thorough scientific research. This is because the little research that has already been done shows that LED is more effective than the other types of treatments such as laser. For example, the laser treatment is said to cause burns and scars to the skin while the LED does not. Research by the government also shows that the LED clears mucostis and therefore, it is can be easily accepted without further scientific research.
The cost of the product is reasonable, as is it evident that people have been able to purchase the treatment, and the company was able to generate more from the fees paid by the patients who underwent surgical procedures. This shows that the fee is reasonable and that is the reason as to why many people were able to afford this treatment. The cost compete with that of laser treatment, and therefore, the company has made it possible to secure more patients using the LED instead of them going for laser treatment at almost the same cost.
The annual quantity of the LED cannot be estimated unless the service providers give information on the quantity that they use on each treatment. In ensuring the marketing of the product, the company may be in a position to make donations to the charity organizations, which in turn may promote the product, making it possible for people to seek more treatment from the company. Another way in which the product can be promoted is by ensuring that the company creates a clear relationship with the clients, and this can be done through social networks and websites.
The clients may in turn promote the product and bring in more people to seek the same treatment (Michalowicz, 2009).The Company’s approach to the manufacture of the product should be through the government and the research institutions which have proved that the product is safe and can be used for treatment. The company should also ensure that it designs the system which is required in the production of LED. As the CEO of the company, I would work together with the service providers to ensure that the product is well used in order to satisfy the customers, and also make sure that the costs are favorable and competitive with other companies such as those which offer laser treatment.
Question twoThe main business idea is that of coming up with a computer which can only be established through a team of people, and which can be sold at a relatively high cost for the benefit of the company. In order to come up with the evolution of the computer, it means that Andy wants to be a competitor, and this requires hard work and effort for the competitor to come up with a product, in this case a computer which can be used as that which was being used by the other company or firm. The product can also be substituted in such a way that the competitors may come up with a product that is relatively cheaper as compared to that which is being used.
The price may have a great impact on the behaviour of the customers as they would opt for a cheaper product. The bargaining power of the customers is another attribute which should be considered when coming up with the product’s cost, so that the company may be in a position to ensure that when the customers bargain, they do not end up selling the product at a lesser cost. The company should consider the bargaining power of the suppliers so that they are able to identify the kind of products that they should purchase in order to come up with the product and compare it with the final cost of the product.
Rivalry may exist among the companies which have already been able to produce the type of product and thus, there is need to ensure that the evolution of the product will bring in positive impact to the company (Porter, 2008).Question threeThe product that was due for purchase is the refrigerator. I expected the product to provide good services in order to ensure that everything was in control. My expectation was that it would take long before I had problems with the refrigerator. With regard to my expectations, the refrigerator did not perform as expected because after two weeks; I would find some of the items in the refrigerator having been spoilt.
When I tried to find out where the problem was, I found out that the refrigerator was not working at all. This is my worst experience because I expected to get the best out of the refrigerator, which in turn turned out as a disappointment..References Michalowicz, M.
