Strategy implementation INTRODUCTION StilSim Company has twenty-five years of experience in the human resources department. The company has gone through many changes but there has been no change within StilSim which has caused so much loss. The company has not changed its standards in so many years, kept the old technology and has not changed it. StilSim needs to make several changes to become a leading company among its competitors. To begin with, StilSim Company needs to change and improve its vision and mission statement because it’s essential for the business image and to bring in cliental. The second step that StilSim Company needs to work on is statement of values, support and maintains it. Stilsim Company needs to make a list of actions and strategies to help the company to succeed. An organizational design, Stilsim Company needs an organizational structure to help determine the risks that come in the way of StilSim Company as well as making a backup plan in case this plan did not work. StilSim Company needs to utilize a behavioral control system and contemporary control as well as establishing reward and incentive to create a high performance culture. Finally, it is important for StilSim Company to be ethical in their line of work as well as making plans for any legal issues that exists. With all this implementation we can definitely say it is a new beginning and era for StilSim Company to dominate the competition and the market. MISSION STATEMENT/VISION STATEMENT We know people. Our name StilSim was created to reflect the excitement we feel about our business. It flows from the public recognition that we receive for our work and the applause we get in the community and marketplace. It is different, because we are different! With three offices in Central Ohio, and over twenty five years of experience our Ohio workforce consists of huge number of registered associates providing flexible staffing to our clientele’s accounts annually. Our extensive experience in this business community helps us understand the challenges in our marketplace therefore we can supply you with the quality staffing and services to meet those challenges. STATEMENT OF VALUES StilSim Company values integrity, honesty, quality customer service, openness, personal excellence, continual self improvement and mutual respect. We are committed to our customers and cliental. We have the passion to provide the best service out there. We hold ourselves accountable to our customers, shareholders, partners, and employees by honoring our commitments, and providing results. Our brochures and handbook will be provided to our employees and cliental to provide them with better understanding of what Stilsim is all about. HIGH LEVEL ACTION PLAN StilSim Company needs to implement changes that will need a high level action plan to make sure that everything is looking good and nothing is left behind. The action plan that we decided for the StilSim is the low cost strategy. Low cost provider is the best way for Stilsim Company to be successful. To begin with, Stilsim needs to upgrade the technology in all offices which is an essential part of the business. In todays world, technology is constantly changing from a new paperclip to an improvement in hospital machinery. Technology lets people improve the way they live so that they can preserve their own personal energy and focus on the really important factors in life. Technology for StilSim Company needs to be upgraded within. StilSim Company needs to upgrade its database due to the importance of the information of the company. Database is a collection of information that is organized so that StilSim employees can easily access, manage, and update. In one view, databases also can help StilSim Company to classify their files according to types of content: bibliographic, full-text, numeric, and images. Intranet will also be an essential technological upgrade for the company. Intranet is the generic term for a collection of private computer networks within an organization. An intranet in Stilsim Company will use network technologies as a tool to facilitate communication between its employees or workgroups to improve the data sharing capability and overall knowledge base of an organizations employees. Voicemail in StilSim Company can help in a great deal on the missed calls or the busy talk time. StilSim Company needs to market its image to the outside world and by doing so they need to upgrade their website. Too many people get confused when talking about website they assume that we are talking about a web page; a Web site is a collection of Web pages. For Stilsim company to upgrade its website it needs to hire a full IT professional. This It professional will be responsible for all technology aspects of the firm (computers, printers, internet access, intranet, websites, databases etc). The technology in StilSim Company needs to be addressed as quickly as possible because it is an essential of the company’s success. The second step of the action will be to improve and focus on low end service employees. StilSim Company will need to use none experience employees as well as college student to recruit them in the mean time still keep in mind to recruit qualify and experience employees for selected and required jobs. As we said before it is essential for Stilsim to upgrade its technology, because it is going to help as well organize the employee’s qualification for the job in demand. The third step is to improve communication; Stilsim Company has a communication problem in hand. By providing the intranet, it is going to ease the communication flow between employees and managerial personnel. Establishing a leadership in each department is going to help communication as well, leader of each department is going to be responsible for it s team and it s problem, in the mean time we are going to cut for the internal fight between staff. The fourth action is improving back office efficiency. StilSim Company needs to take this seriously, the dissatisfaction of cliental and employees are hurting its reputation, and that is not good for StilSim image. The Company is still using manual system and usually its employee’s desks are a mess and full of paper. That is why it s important to upgrade the technology. The fifth action should be to use the online market, the online market is huge, so for Stilsim Company it need to use the online job search and use it to bring more employees as well as cliental. That where the Website comes in hand, it is going to be the image that StilSim Company is going to be seen by others. The sixth action is improving employee’s productivity. The essence of employee motivation and effectiveness is the manner in which they are managed. A direct relationship exists between effective StilSim management providing a work environment that simultaneously achieves company goals and employees goals and modern human resource management. Final Action should be to establish an HR office. StilSim Company needs a department or support systems responsible for personnel sourcing and hiring, applicant tracking, skills development and tracking, benefits administration and compliance with associated government regulations. A human resources department in StilSim Company is a critical component of employee well-being in any business, no matter how small. HR responsibilities include payroll, benefits, hiring, firing, and keeping up to date with state and federal tax laws. ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN The term organizational structure refers to how the people in an organization are grouped and to whom they report. StilSim Company should have a leader, (Bill Simmon) a leader who has total knowledge about what s going on in his company and involve himself in every part of the business. One other thing Bill Simmon should assign a manager in each department. Each manager is responsible for his department and they should make weekly meeting with the CEO to keep him update about the details of his company. To conclude this StilSim Company is going to be using the functional organizational structure. A functional organizational structure isolates specific tasks and then further divides those tasks into highly simplified duties best suited for particular talents. Activities within a functional organizational structure are divided into "functional departments," for example: marketing, information technology, customer service, accounting and research-and-development. StilSim Company will be very organized and it will be sailing with no problems. RISKS/BACKUP PLAN First let us be optimistic, if we follow this plan and strategy we defiantly are going to see a great change in StilSim Company. Keeping in mind that we could see some risks that could comes in the way of implementing this plan and also implementing those strategies. It is important to have a back up plan. First risks that we may confront are the Bob Henderson. Since the purchase of the office in Mountanview by StilSim two years ago, Bob has a bad attitude and that is not good for the moral of employees or the success of the company. So either Fire him, or he could change his attitude. The second risk is Sue Maxium; Sue is a huge risk due to the law case that another company is claiming due to the theft of cliental that Sue did. Once you steel from one you will do it again, I believe we should get ride of her. The third risk, is that Bill Simmons is getting old and wish to retire, Bill Simmons has not been keeping up with the changes around. That is not good for the company, so either he keep up with the change or he can retire. CONTEMPORARY CONTROL Strategic control can be defined as process of monitoring as to whether to various strategies adopted by the organization are helping its internal environment to be matched with the external environment. Strategic control processes allow managers to evaluate a companys program from a critical long-term perspective. So, it is easy for StilSim, Strategic control in StilSim focuses on the dual questions of whether: (1) the strategy is being implemented as planned; and (2) the results produced by the strategy are those intended. The result of the implementation of the strategy is very important because the question is if the result reached it s goal or not for the success of StilSim Company. BEHAVIORAL CONTROL StilSim Company Should use Behavioral Control, another way of control strategy to help the company to reach it s goal. So using this strategy StilSim managers will monitor employee behaviors, directing and evaluating based on subjective measures of abilities and activities; not just outcomes. The manager makes sure that employee input and behavior reflects his expectations. Results should be at a certain level, long term, if the employee is deemed to be following the defined behaviors of the firm. Let us not forget about reward system and incentives to help the moral and behavior of the employees. Ethics StilSim has been in the business for the past twenty five years, so ethics should be very important for its success. StilSim ethics can be defined as written and unwritten codes of principles and values that govern decisions and actions within a company. In the business world, the organization’s culture sets standards for determining the difference between good and bad decision making and behavior. StilSim managers play an important role in establishing its ethics; employees are likely to act in a like manner. A company’s leaders are responsible for setting standards for what is and is not acceptable employee behavior. It’s vital for managers to play an active role in creating a working environment where employees are encouraged and rewarded for acting in an ethical manner. Conclusion Twenty five of business, a huge cliental, loyalty in doing business all this help StilSim Company to succeed in this market. Unfortunately the company is going true some bumpy time but with the right strategy and right people we defiantly can go further and still do business for another twenty five years.
