Tourism is one of the important industries of the world economy. Specifically, in the present scenario when the world in general and Asian countries, in particular, is facing security and safety challenges, the tourism market has taken great importance in European societies. This paper deals with TUI, The second chapter reviews the relationship between environment and tourism as well as its implications to TUI. The third chapter analyzes the performance of TUI and those features that contributed to achieving the No.1 position in the tourism and shipping industry. It further explains the key unmatchable factors that have made TUI far ahead of its market competitors. In the end, the current structural changes in different business fields are discussed and TUI’s response to these changes with its corporate strategies and business models. It is the biggest limitation of this research that in comparison to available web-based resources, hard copy books are not readily available specifically about TUI.
The major review of literature covers online Internet sites, few books, interviews of company executives, and journals about the topic.

1.1 TUI History
As Preussag AG, it remained a renowned organization in the transportation and industrial sector till 2001 when it became a 100% subsidiary of Preussag AG. In the next ear, Preussag AG was transformed into TUI AG. During the next few years, TUI developed and changed its production from an industrial segment to a modern tourism and shipping company. At present, the company has an extensive network all over the world and is a market leader in the tourism industry in Europe.
