Being adaptable to the ever changing circumstances, I am more than certain that I will monitor and adjust/recommend adjustments to organizational plans whenever necessary. Not forgetting the importance of being self-assured, I am more than prepared to motivate colleagues towards believing in themselves and their abilities. Finally, I have tested my resolve to challenges the status quo through innovative ideas, and so come with responsibility. Value Addition My education at The Johns Hopkins University, the internships, as well as the experiences in volunteering did help a great deal in equipping me with the professional skills needed as a marketing researcher. I now consider myself not only a professional, but a responsible individual grounded with certain fundamental work ethics to begin with in any would be destination-organization. Choice of Career Path I would love a career that begins right from a simple Marketing Executive, rising through the ranks to a CEO of a reputable organization, finally ending up as politician, all with the desire to contribute to the improvement of the society in one way or another. As it is right from the beginning, every aspect of my career revolves around marketing. As a marketing researcher, the entertainment industry, particularly in one of the Southeast Asian Countries, and at an institution such as Disney would be a perfect place to begin my career. I believe that with such a starting point, I would be able to learn a lot about marketing. Disney is a multi-branched institution, serving a wide customer base in different places. Working with them presents an opportunity of a lifetime in dealing with customers of different cultural backgrounds. The experiences gained will most certainly be useful expanding our family business in Indonesia, of which I hope to become one of the boards of directors at some point during my life. The company manufactures and supply game machines to game stations as well as entertainment spots in Indonesia. It is one of the biggest game machines producers in Indonesia, but with no international distribution networks. I believe there is a lot in store by going international. The skills acquired while working in Disney would be most appropriate in marketing these entertainment products internationally. It would be one of the greatest career achievements to operationalize my family business in varied countries, spanning all the six continents. As an experienced marketer, I hope to sell my ideas to the people of my country and serve them in any position strategic enough to affect policy changes towards that course. Most importantly, I would be privileged to serve them in my capacity as a minister in charge of economic issues; there are quite a lot changes desired in the education as well as the health sector that can directly benefit the people of my country. I am now convinced than ever than politics controls and hold the key to development in any particular country, and Indonesia is no exception.
