It is then broken down to AMP by cAMp phosphodiesterase (Cooper 1). The epinephrine receptor is joined to adenylyl cyclase with the help of G-protein (Cooper 1). The protein stimulates the enzymatic activity. This causes increased concentration of cAMP. Increased concentration leads to increased activity of epinephrine (Cooper 1). Communication within a cell comprises of the three processes. The process begins by binding of receptors in the G-protein. In this pathway, it binds to GTP. The communication is achieved as the G-protein replaces GTP (Nature Education 1).

The activation of G-protein influences the production of second Messenger molecule such as cAMP and IP3 (Nature Education 1). The two plays a role in intracellular cell
