To Supplement or Not to Supplement: A Metabolic Network Framework for Human Nutritional Supplements The human body issomething that most people would consider as a temple and they believe in its maintenance and its wellbeing. However, there are people that are deprived of proteins in their bodies and they decide to have some supplements so as to aid the body. The thesis to the paper was to investigate the way in which the human body takes in nutrition. There are many variables that are used in the paper, with the dependent variable being the human body and its ability to assimilate the nutrients into the body. The independent variable is the amount of carbon bonds that are present in the supplement.
In the experiment, it was recorded that there were reactions and metabolites. These were considered to be among the measuring rubric in the study. In the study, a comparison of data was used so as to ensure that there was an accurate estimate and aided in the determination of the best nutrient (Nogiec and Kasif e68751). In the study, one realizes that there is a nutrient, glutamine, which is not an effective supplement to the body and was not as effective in the increase in the protein synthesis of the body. The limitation to this study is that there are not that many affirmative responses and discoveries that will back the claim. However, the study is as significant to the study of the supplement acceptance into the body and the identification of the ineffective ones. The study is one that is promising and has a lot to offer to the medical fraternity and it presents the possibility of utilizing frameworks science as a system to formally research how supplementation and sustenance can influence human digestion system and physiology (Nogiec and Kasif e68751).
