Extract of sample "Global Change and Global Warming"

Scientists seem to have widely agreed and accepted the basic facts of global warming. Though they support their facts with findings from the intensive research that they carry, however, there are some hard feelings from people who believe that these scientists are fooling the world on the issue of global warming (Dixon& Weaver, 2009).In his interview, James clearly states that the majority of skeptics are politicians who are out to pass unfavorable global warming bills. This implies that these skeptics have a hidden agenda of trying to blindfold America on this issue of global warming (Dixon& Weaver, 2009).

He argues that some of these skeptics are using a lot of money in their goal to attract scientists to come up with findings that favor their argument. This serves as a precaution for whoever takes these skeptics seriously in their arguments on global warming. These skeptics, the majority of who are nonscientists also set up some obscure arguments trying to defend the causes of global warming. They are shamelessly claiming that the current global warming experienced is usually a result of an increase in the amount of radiation coming from the sun (Dixon& Weaver, 2009).

This clearly shows their hidden agendas on why they are opposing the scientific facts on the causes of global warming. The facts stand that the sun only warms the earth's surface by only a third of a watt per square meter. This effect is minimal compared with the impact of the greenhouse gases that human beings have emitted.
