Tetracycline" Part Tetracycline is not recommended in pregnancy. Antibiotics are medicines that are taken to combat bacterial infection but there are certain antibiotics which are known to bring devastating results if consumed at certain stage. For instance, tetracycline if consumed during pregnancy for throat infection, it results in numerous complications. The proper development of fetal bones and teeth is hampered. The baby develops abnormal bones which is devastating for the development of the baby.

Tetracycline may result in the impaired liver functioning and the pregnant women may suffer from liver diseases. It leads to acidity and stomach cramps. Tetracycline is also known to cause teeth staining when the first teeth of the baby erupts (Tetracyclines).Part 2What might be the advantages and disadvantages of therapeutic device? Delivery of therapeutic agent in an appropriate manner is highly imperative in the treatment of disease condition. Dental disease treatment especially the condition of periodontal disease is troublesome for the patient.

Therapeutic agents such as tetracycline is used to treat periodontal disease condition. The delivery of drug is done using an agent called ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, which is a polymeric matrix. The drug tetracycline is delivered using this polymeric matrix. One of the advantage of this method of delivery is that it provides a constant therapy to the site of infection. However, the disadvantage of the therapeutic method is that it results in discoloration of teeth (yellow or brown or grey) or stunted bones in children (Intra-pocket drug delivery devices for treatment of periodontal diseases).
