Two Successful Entrepreneurs Bill Gates Born on October 28, 1955, Bill Gates, the founding father of Microsoft, is a successful entrepreneur. His family can be associated with a rich history in politics, business, as well as community service. At a young age, Bill Gates got interested in software; he began programming at the age of 13 years. As a teenager, he and his friend ran a small company. Bill Gates got his training from Harvard University where he learned programming and other computer applications, especially those that relate to software.
With his knowledge in computer software, he has been able to develop Microsoft. Apart from his education, training, and experience, the personal characteristics of Bill Gates have played a pivotal role in his achievement as an entrepreneur. One of the personal qualities that have helped him excel is courage; Gates has the courage to carry on even during hard times. Determination is also another personal characteristic, which has helped Gates become successful in business (Lesinski 4-60). Warren Buffett Born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1930, Buffet was the son of a Congressman and a stockbroker.
He is regarded as one of the most successful investors; at an early age, Buffet displayed a keen interest on matters pertaining to money, as well as issues of business. His education and training included Business, which he studies at Columbia Graduate Business School, under the mentorship of Graham Bell. After graduating, he got a job at Graham’s firm, and it is from this firm that he learnt a lot about stock investment. One of the personal characteristics that helped Buffett excel in business includes passion.
He had a passion for investment since an early age. Dedication is also another personal trait, which has played a central role in Buffett’s success.
