Water, air, and even ice are fluids because they tend to flow from one place to another due to the force of gravity. Of the three, liquid water is the most common agent of erosion because there's so much of it on the surface of the Earth.’ (What is erosion?) Erosion actually represents the movement of materials on the surface of the planets. Slope determines the level of erosion on a planet. “Erosion is one of the most important processes shaping the Earth's surface. In fact, if the Earth was tectonically stagnant, the forces of erosion would eventually smooth out the entire surface of the Earth, creating a global ocean” (S.E. Smith)Venus may have some erosion because of the wind.

It is extremely dense and sluggish also. But compared to earth the erosion of Venus can be negligible. Because of the atmospheric presence in the earth, wind and rain transform mountains into different shapes over the years. Since Moon, Mercury and Venus don’t have an atmosphere just like that of the earth, the presence of erosion effect is negligible. It is extremely difficult for planets closer to the sun may have erosion because all the erosion effects may boil off because of the closeness of the sun.
