? Organic Architecture. Organic architecture was invented by Frank Lloyd Wright to define is architectural designs. Wright wasinspired by one of the people he looked up to, by the name Louis Sullivan. Organic architecture refers to use of organic or live materials to create architectural forms. He believed in the natural growth of the environment and the adaptation of architectures to the environment. The use of architectural style does not matter as long as it does not follow the laws of nature. Wright emphasizes on allowing architecture to blend in naturally into the environment to avoid conflicts between the architectural designs and the environment. Wright has taken the opportunity to guide and advise the architectural community on the importance of following the laws of nature on building procedures and main architectural styles. In his speech, he stated that organic architecture is the ideal form of designs that should be the trend in revolutionizing architecture and other building policies. He categorically explained that following the tradition and allowing it to spin into new building architectural designs. Modern architectures have taken on organic architecture concepts to develop new architectural designs. There structural designs are detailed and based on the environmental form and the surroundings of the buildings. Wright designed and implemented the building of the Winslow House in Illinois. Thereafter, he has had several other designs under his name. The Falling Water and Solomon Guggenheim Museums are some of his most celebrated designs the world over. Architectures can easily use new concrete formations to create new designs that are not linear or following a particular geometric dimension. The main design features allow for implementation of primitives such as wavy lines or contours which are not the traditional design primitives. The usual design primitives are normally geometrical and are widely used in architectural designs all over. Organic designs are flexible and easily adaptable to the environment. They are not easy to implement and many architectures have not adopted for its use. Wright’s design helped in the formulation of a new language that has been widely applied to architecture. He created a new design referred to as Prairie Style. This style was majorly affected by the way he utilized the spacing provided for the building. His main characteristic design was the freestanding house design that he covered by an overhanging roofing design. In the style he developed a plan to build a chimney in the middle of the house. Wright developed a plan to for a house that utilized a lot of open space that had been separated by from each other by simple architectural tools. The Prairie had a sloping roof that could be used to hold household items. The Style is mainly suitable for domestic home's architecture. The plan steered away from using walls and doors instead of the usual petitions (Frank Lloyd paragraph 3). The planning strategy was referred to as the open blueprint or plan. The selling point in this plan was the integration of nature with actual buildings. The concept of organic architecture is an essential conservatory strategy as it emphasizes on the preservation of the environment around buildings and main architectures. The use of organisms as part of a design was to inspire harmony of the two and relate them as a single unit. The design categories are made according to the defined functions of the organisms to be used. Wright's building designs emphasize the coexistence of the building designs and the organisms. Either of the two dictates the whole complete design of a building. A design is complete with the implementation of both the designs, of the building and the organism in the surrounding. Le Corbusier International Architectural designs Le Corbusier was born and grew up in Switzerland before moving to France at the age of 29. He was passionate about architecture and had a notion that the designs that were present at that time were uninspiring. He believed that there was an unexploited potential that needed to be utilized and implemented in new architectural designs. He had a view that curves and various primitive shapes had morphed out to interesting new designs. Le Corbusier took the initiative to lead from the front and create new inspiring designs. He went ahead to be a renowned architecture. His designs are extraordinary and phenomenal as they are available the world over and have been implemented by new architects. He worked from a philosophy of working from and starting afresh. He always that the new age of buildings needed new designs. This is a proclamation he did when he made a resolution to start coming up with new designs. His architectural designs came to be known as International Styles for wider acceptance and acknowledgement it received from World known architects and designers. His designs looked as instruction manuals to be followed when developing new building plans. His principles of design are cognitive and intuitive as it has much detail from its design to its implementation strategies. It has formed a completely new direction and to design formulation and implementation. His designs are categorically geometrically oriented and needs a systematic approach to implement them. The designs have been implemented mainly in urban buildings including big City Sky Scrappers and other urban buildings. Some of the houses that he has under his name include the Villa Savoye located in a suburb in the outskirts of the City of Paris, which has been regarded as a masterpiece (Villa Savoye paragraph 2). He referred to the design as a machine to live in as a house. Some of the features of the building include a design blueprint that borrows mostly from mathematical concepts. There are pillars created to separate the house from the ground to appear as if it is airborne. Contrasts As much as both of the designs can be applied in many architectural designs and buildings all over the world, they are not similar. Wright's designs are repetitive and nature oriented in style. Whereas Le Corbusier designs are specific and detail is adhered to all through the implementation process. Wright’s designs have a tendency of utilizing natural materials for buildings. They include the use of stones and wood material. Though some designers have become so creative such that they have integrated the use of both designs in their buildings, the designs are difficult to implement. The designs have certain similarities (Frank Lloyd paragraph 3). The designs were developed in keeping with the trends of social, economic status of the places they were implemented. These two architectures make up the modern style which has been motivated by technological advancement. The idea is to keep these two styles in their simplest forms while maintaining their sophistication. All the unnecessary details in the designs were removed and the most important detail in the designs maintained.
