Part The Walt Disney cartoon Der Fuehrers Face or Donald Duck in Nazi Land Most illustration highlights the fifty greatest animated cartoon of Der Fuehrers Face, which feature beloved characters of Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. The fifty greatest cartoon is an invaluable resource for most fans of animation. The cartoon displays the inspiration behind the art creation, problems the artist faced as well as depicting some characters of different personality in political or social system. Cartoon fans voted the Der Fuehrers as the greatest cartoon in America because of the following socially, politically and artistically inspirations. Socially, the cartoon deals with controversial values such as racial offensiveness. In the animation, one character behaves in an irritated manner by the appearance of the other cartoon character. The movie also addresses sexual imagery in the cartoon. In the animation, a cartoon character snores in a manner that suggest sexual movements. Politically, this animation is depicts a person’s reluctant nature to join the marching band of soldiers who seems to come from different army states through the street. This actually depicts dictatorship in the system because the cartoon chooses to sleep but is mandatory that he must attend the marching band. Therefore, the animation depicts the citizen as oppressed. There is an artistic illusion of war, which the animation represent as unending marching of soldiers Artistically, animation depicts a person’s way of living in a form of a cartoon in a region is not by choice. The cartoon struggles to make do with disgusting Nazi food rations. Artistic inspiration is achievable here when a person awakes from sleep only to find that his experience was in fact a nightmare. The artist uses the nightmare to inspire the fans how another place is more welcoming than the disgusting place that the character is living in. The animation is excellent with great colours and wonderful nightmarish images. Politically, the Der Fuehrer Face story shows patriotism among individual in the animation. The artist depicts patriotism when he represent cartoon with pyjamas and bedroom curtains having the colour of American flag. Besides, it is an inspiration to the audience to be patriotic to their countries. Part 2: Cindy Sherman’s Untitled Film Stills and Nikki Lees Projects Aspects of self-hood that artist used in this artwork has influenced the way generations artist think about identity, narrative and portraiture. Aspect of changing black and white shows that Cindy Sherman transitioned from the use of old fashioned make up to digital technology of portraying extraordinary identities that reflect our image-saturated culture. Sherman manipulations of her own image have mirrored and predicted the zeitgeist (Devine, 8). On the other hand, Nikki’s aspect was impersonation of a member of a cultural group before documenting it in a snapshot. Sherman’s alluring skill as a perpetual shape shifter made her had a big contribution in art. A lesser conspicuous legacy involves the way her work permanently blurred the line between fine art and photography. On the other hand, Nikki constantly sought her identity in relation to others. Her exploration in change of individual identity in relation to change in one’s exposure draws the viewer’s attention on her personal identity (Devine, 12). Nikki Lee’s body of work is more applicable in life experience today. Sherman’s aspect of personality is not applicable in the modern life today. This is because there are lots of artist in that some of them lack good audience. Therefore, changing personality from time to time will make other audience to be disinterested with their artwork. On the other hand, Lee’s way of presenting herself is recommendable. This is because her association with people shows her good human relationship from a broader scope. Part 3: The relationship between art and pornography The reflection on pornography comes mainly from outside philosophy. Comprehension of the relationship existing between pornography and art has challenged various neutral notion that pornography is simply sexually explicit content material intended for sexual arousal. Over the period, pornography has presented women as sexually vulnerable and violable by endorsing sexual means that harm people. Devine (90) add that feminism revealed pornography as content material for showing sexual intention and sexual submission due to women sexual body parts. My dividing line on the relationship between art and pornography is that art defines a labour taken as a whole, possesses thoughtful literary, artistic, scientific and political value. Therefore, the use of offensive language in a literary work is not obscene as long as it does not promote lust. Art has to do with aesthetic experience that is static hence; it should not move people to do anything. However, pornography is kinetic and it will always move a person with desire, loathing or fear for the object represented (Devine, 101). Some occurrences turn an artwork to be pornography. Such occurrences as of exposure of human anatomical sexual organs may move a person and this depicts pornography. As opposed to pornography, true art is transcendent and always seems to be at an interface between the integrity created in the material world and the rhythm. However, obscenity does not need to be exclusive of true art because it is part of art and it factor as harmonic and rhythmic composition of art as a whole ((Devine, 108). Part 4: The different strategies artists use to make their work more effective Artist in most cases do not communicate to their audience directly. They make use of certain strategies to elicit social change indirectly in a community of people. For example in the images, the use of actual women in a clear suitcase placed in luggage terminal in German airport is to help the artist communicate a particular idea or message. The artist used the two images to communicate social and political issues. Political instability may result in insecurity in a nation where people are ferried from their countries to foreign countries for material gain by leaders in the political powers. Socially, human trafficking is possible in a nation with less ties socially. The two images shows the concept of lack of peaceful coexistence between members of the communities. The artist make us of exhibit strategy to communicate the occurrence of human trafficking in most airports. The strategy indicate a receptive feedback and genuine acknowledgement of the occurrence of problem of human trafficking. Other creative tools used by artist to explore community values are visual art technique, storytelling, drawing and painting among others. In addition, the importance of Palaeolithic also show the numinous power of female hence the use of female rooted images with exaggerated physical features such as breast, buttocks and genitals. Part 6: Reactions from instance of gaze from looking at the painting Gaze is an central component of social collaboration. Gaze processing is therefore an important interest to a number of scenarios. The social gaze helps in avoiding lapse or break in visual arts and film technology. A person’s behaviour while freely viewing a painting in a gallery or a museum may take various scenarios depending on what is important in the scene and about the scene content. The most possible instant of gaze will depend on the relationship between the fixations that people make during scene viewing and how they describe the scenes. Therefore, the most possible gaze in this scenario is to continue with the viewing of the painting in the museum. From all the possible attention such as from visitors, guards and the pictures in the painting that the viewer might attend to, the power of gaze can make the viewer to succeed in only attending to one. This is through the exploration analysis of human behaviour with output of current visual recognition methods hence the viewer will attend to real stimuli that is either a guard or the visitors.
