(College) Artworks Introduction and Thesis Indubitably, many recent art works are closely tied to anthropology and holds great resemblance to reverse ethnography. Franke (2009) affirms that the recent art work adopts documentary techniques or goes ahead to borrow from travelogue. The study purposes to examine the resemblance and further comparison between the contemporary and classical artworks. The theoretical framework stated in the introductory sentence can be best explained by the relevant material listed below: The key themes portrayed by the author on this subject are investigation of the modern border regime based on his perspective.

The author also seeks to present how art work informs his exhibitions driven by conceptuality. The theoretical framework implies there are chances the author may be a curator as he is able effectively compare the modern and recent art (Irvin 2006). Some of the concepts mentioned in the writing are epistemology, anthropology and dichotomy. These help us in identifying the boundary between the modern and ancient art. Franke (2009) stipulates that , “The ‘rationalist veil’ is a privileged site of a particular modern practice aimed at creating continuity, blending systemic knowledge, belief, and the power of imagery.

” Body Sound art is one contemporary art that draws focus on aural stimulation unlike the traditional painting which interests the eye. The introductory sentence can be tied to the following: The art uses music and sound technology to create artistic experience. In order to value sound art as a worthwhile form in the history of art we must shy away from nomenclature and focus on sound aesthetics (Mullane 2010). The vocabulary of sound as well as its role in contemporary art has chanced compared to the classical art so as to suite new works (Mullane 2010).

Music entails jargon as beat, atonal, and canon. The art of drawing has remained unchanged for thousands of years meaning it is part of the contemporary art just like the classical art. According to Dexter (2006). The introductory sentence can be tied to the following: Drawing is one of the oldest form of art just like painting so that it is traceable to prehistoric times. Metal-point drawing is quite unusual such that a point made of copper, silver gold or leather is pressed against a paper.

Drawing is a two dimensional medium that involves making of lines and tone areas through shading. It has always been a common method amongst scientists in the creation of preparatory studies. Mixed media is an entirely new contemporary art featured by two or more media (Barnoski et al 2010). This introductory sentence can be tied to the following: Mixed media is multimedial meaning it comprises music text and often dance. Different media is used in creation of one work which allows great versatility and is rich in viewer experience.

It is mainly used in expression of political views and social opinions. Classical art took distinct forms. Conclusion Defining contemporary art is difficult as it can refer to several different things. Let us simply put it that contemporary art is the art created after the Second World War. That context cab be used to distinguish between the contemporary and classical artworks. Works Cited Barnoski, Kalyn, Demarais Monique, & Romig, Kelsey. The Art of Mixed Media.
