Wheat Field with Cypresses Speaking of the reasons why the picture in question caught my attention, I should point out that at first I thought that I was looking at some kind of an optical illusion. Indeed, I seemed to be that every element of the picture was moving, but I knew that it could not be true since it was not animated. I like the painting very much since it provides the audience with an unusual approach towards depicting landscapes. Thus, the author was able to show the nature in motion and not static.
As for the emotions that I felt while looking at it, I should note the warmth that I coming from the picture. Indeed, the lack of straight lines makes an illusion that it is very hot outside. It is beyond any doubt that the author utilized complex techniques to achieve such an effect and worked hard on choosing the right colors for the painting which make it look quite real even though the picture is being distorted to a certain extent. It is beyond any doubt that various shades of blue and green dominate the painting which contributes to the harmony of it.
In addition to that, the yellow color that was used for wheat is combined with the blue sky and green cypresses in a perfect way. This picture has the following meaning for me: it shows the way perception of the world might be distorted by heat; nevertheless, the proportions of the objects remain the same and are in great harmony.
