The Effect of Titanic One film that has had immense influence on my thoughts and my outlook of the world is Titanic. Like everybody, I was mesmerized by the storyline, romance, music, and cinematography of the film. But the effect of Titanic on me did not stop there. It extended beyond these elements to touch me emotionally and spiritually. Seeing such a gigantic, popular, and one of its kind ship of its time sink in the ocean like it did made my heart cry. It opened my eyes and made me realize that we cannot trust our strength as humans and claim that we have made a ship that is unsinkable.

It is only the plan of God that matters. Titanic was a ship people dreamed to sail in. Being able to sail in Titanic was an experience cherished much. Yet, had the people known what they were destined to end in, nobody would have boarded on it in the first place. A particular scene in Titanic changed me as a person. It was when Rose’s fiancé offers the officer money to be allowed to sit in the boat, and the officer smashes the money at the fiance’s face saying it is of no use. I learned that life cannot be priced.

To make the most out of my life, I derive happiness by helping and caring for others. The lesson I derive is that we should never take pride in anything in life. Everything belongs to God and He can take it from us any time.
