Art 21 Artists April 7, Introduction Art can be defined in different ways. There is a relationship between art and morality. The art masterpieces show the character and psychology of the artist. Likewise, the art pieces depict the time period and the culture of the community during the artist’s time period. There are different art forms. Painting is one form of art. Dancing is another art form. Film is a third art genre. Sculpture is a different art genre. Novel and poetry are other approved art types. The Art21 artists were chosen for their excellent delivery of their chosen art genre. Cai Guo-Qiang Cai Guo-Qiang is an artist from Fujian Province of China. Guo-Qiang currently lives and does his artistic masterpieces in New York, United States. Guo-Qiang uses several media to show his inner feelings. His art works are infused with political themes. Uniquely, Guo-Qiang uses gunpower as an art form ingredient. He is successful in this unique art genre. Guo-Qiang learned gunpowder art while staying in Japan. The left image will remind the children that our world includes the survival of animals. It is a good art image because the children can easily understand the image. The right image shows the author’s use explosions (fireworks) to attract the attention of the audience. The audience who will actually see the live explosions will either be entertained or may fear for their life. The audience will discern whether the fireworks explosion will cause danger to the lives of the audience. When the audience senses fire explosion debris going towards the audience, the audience will run to safety. Jeff Koons Jeff Koons is from Pennsylvania. He school included studying in the popular Art Institute of Chicago. The artist uses images from different cultures as inspiration for his masterpieces. The artist injects both taste and pleasure themes into his art pieces. Koons uses the benefits of computer technology to create his currently popular art form. Koons uses the computer technology’s accurate detail advantages to reduce the time needed to complete his artwork tasks. Further, Jeff Koons’ masterpieces had been displayed in several art galleries. One of the galleries is Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Koons displayed his art works in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Jeff Koons won several art awards; one of the awards is the Officer of the French Legion of Honor during 2007. Next, Koons won the Artistic Achievement Award during 2006. The left artwork uses vinyl paint and an inflatable balloon to communicate his artistic message to the artwork viewers. The left art form will surely catch the attention of the children. The children will love the rabbit design on the left image. The lady audience will interpret the flower image on the left image as resembling love. On the other hand, Jeff Koons uses the elephant as his masterpiece theme. Koons uses steel and diversely transparent paint to complete the picture. The right picture creates an image that the elephant is happy. The happy elephant will send an image to the audience, especially the children, that the children should always do everything that will make them happy as well as everyone else happy. Shazia Sikander Shahzia Sikander is part of the PBS art 21 artists. Sikander reigns from Pakistan, specifically Lahore. She studied art in Pakistan’s National College of Arts. She finished her Masters in Fine Arts degree from Rhode Island, United States, during 1995. Sikander focused on her local Pakistan community’s miniature painting genre. The genre includes disciplined art strokes. Sikander included techniques as basis for creating beautiful works of art. Sikander’s fusing personal themes and history to her unique art works makes her one of the chosen PBS Art 21 artists. Sikander combines both her Asian local art precision style and the Western countries’ art concepts o create masterpieces. She is currently in New York. The artist’s miniature art masterpieces indicate originally and vision and excellence. Kiki Smith Kiki Smith an artist that hails from the artistic capital of Germany. Her United States father’ art expertise was honed from many years helping her artist father complete his own art masterpieces. Smith grew up in New Jersey, United States. She includes her Roman Catholic upbringing’s culture as she creates her genre’s art masterpieces. Smith focuses on the sculpture as her adopted art form. She also uses the print and drawing genres to bring out her cultural upbringing into the popular artworks. Her formal art training shows up in her excellently accomplish art productions. Her artworks have been displayed in popular art galleries. Her art pieces were displayed in the popular New York Museum of Modern Art. Likewise, her art pieces were displayed in Minneapolis location of the Walker Art Museum. She finished her Master in Fine Arts in the popular California Institute of the Arts during 1981. Weems’ artistic style includes the infusion of themes that border on jokes, rebukes, and songs to complete. Consequently, her art masterpieces create impressions of injected pitch and timbre inklings. Her genre includes photography and video formats. She rebukes racial discrimination and gender discrimination in her art productions. She has won several art awards. One of the awards is the MacArthur Fellowship award during 2013. She also won the Anonymous was a Woman Award during 2007. A third award is the popular Skowhegan Medal for Photography. Weems currently does her masterpieces in New York’s Syracuse community. Season 6 occurred in 2012. Marina Abramovic is from Yugoslavia. She prefers performance as he art genre. Performance falls under the visual art arena. She uses her body as a form of art. Specifically, she tries to show the limits of her body. The limits include having to test her physical strength, mental prowess, as well as emotional limits. Consequently, she often veers towards endangering her life when she performs extreme body acts. Art performances Marina Abramovic gave live performances on several stage presentations to the pleased audiences. She performed in the famous Garage Art Center during 2011. The above image shows Marina Abramovic in one of her live performances. She is trying to make the audience laugh by telling a joke. It is clear that she has mastered the art of acting. Conclusion Based on the above discussion, art can be described in several ways. Morality influences how image or item qualifies as art. The art masterpieces display the inner feelings and hopes of the artists. The artist often includes his or her time period’s culture in the creation of the art masterpieces.
