Social responsibilities such as early parenting are significant factors that negatively influence education levels in students. In the film Coach Carter, these negative influences are highlighted. Additionally, the film highlights the effects of the factors and provides solutions on how they could be effectively managed. This paper will review the significant factors affecting education in the film and highlight the depth of effects caused by the factors. Additionally, the paper will review the solutions used in the film to address the issues and their effectiveness in generating the required solution for the issues.

The paper will also focus on the end result of a properly managed educational system. One significant influence on education in the book is the ability of students to balance their social and educational life. The film tells the story of a basketball team. The team has a great basketball history but the team comprises of students who do not value education. These students believe that only basketball may give them a bright future. The appointment of a new coach changes this notion as the coach forced the students to embrace a reading culture.

The coach is content to enable the students to have both an academic career and an athletic career (Coach Carter 2005). However, the students do not embrace pursuing education and the coach is forced to take stern measures to ensure he achieves his objective. He moves further to force a closure of the gym until he is satisfied with the performance of the students. However, this move is criticized by the institution’s management and parents and the coach is forced to let the team have its previous status on matters education (Coach Carter 2005).

The students, however, change and decide to pursue both academic and athletic careers. From this analysis, one could easily point out that balancing education and athletes has been an issue in the modern school setting. Many students across the United States opt for athletic careers and disregard their educational careers. This has led to the increase of young people without complementary academic certificates but with a hope of gaining an outstanding social class through sports. However, education remains an important key in society regardless of the career one chooses to undertake.

It would be a great advancement that enables all students to complete their educational studies as well as empowering them with talents as extra credits to enhance their lives. In reviewing another negative effect, I will review the character on Kenyon Stone and Timo Cruz. Kenyon Stone is a student also part of the team. However, his girlfriend is pregnant and this gives him a lot of pressure since he cannot handle early parenthood, education and being in the team (Coach Carter 2005). At one point he argues with Kyra, his girlfriend, on how they are supposed to live while knowing they have other responsibilities.

It was at this point that he thinks out quitting the team and focus on his college life to create a certain future for himself. However, with the help of his coach he is able to balance his school life and play basketball at the same time (Coach Carter 2005). Early parenthood is a significant negative influence on students as they struggle to meet their objections and also focus on their social lives.
