Michelangelo Buonarroti and Leonardo Da Vinci remains the most famous and celebrated artists of the Renaissance period. Since the two knew of the fame and the huge influence they had with regards to their artistic works, they became very bitter rivals. However, the most striking relationship between the two great artists of the Renaissance period is the fact that both of them were Italians.

Da Vinci for instance, was born in 1452 in a remote village called Vinci in Italy. Soon afterwards, he relocated to Florence, where he took up an apprenticeship to Verrocchio. He began working as a painter at a very tender age. However, because of his creativity, he was able to surpass his teachers with the way he painted very first.
