Essay, Visual Arts and Films Qn TV wave which is also known as the analog signal is a signal that is electrical and continuous while the digital wave is electrical wave that is non-continuous .TV wave changes constantly its width or amplitude even if it is a continuous movement in one way or direction while the digital wave transforms its signal instantly from zero to one and is not limited to any specific time frame. TV wave changes its value continuously through the change of the properties of the electrical voltage while the digital wave has values which are discrete. Analogue signals are varied because of the time period and it follows electrical signal which are not direct (Caldwell, 42). The digital wave undergoes individual steps and is made up of digits and pulses. There several distinctions between the third wave and the fourth wave. The TV wave which has analog signals it only plays materials that are recorded in the original structure while the digital wave plays in re sample form. Digital waves are of high quality as compared to the TV waves which are of low quality. Digital waves for enhancement of sounds and the quality of visually are remastered. Unlike digital waves TV waves are disadvantaged because they can only play what has been recorded originally. Analog signals operate by capturing a sound and recording it directly to a device or a tape hence the quality is lower (Carel 67). Analog signal deals with intensification of voice because of the change in the electrical current while digital waves operate on values which are discrete and constant of change of one pulse to the other until it moves from one digit to the other, and this makes digital waves more reliable as compared to analog. It also operates on two amplitude level which is either low or high. The analog signal is just a copy of sound waves and they do capture the electromagnetic waves and they present the information in disfigured way hence creating a lot of noise (Bernhard 45). Digital signals are more reliable and productive because they work on binary values. Analog technology is cheaper as compared to digital technology which is more expensive. Digital signals have several properties that distinguish it from analog signals in a communication method. One of them is that the digital signal for its synchronization uses specific sequence; also its communication language is well understood by the user and the sender. Any errors or problems that may arise during analog communication interfere with the planned communication while digital communication is not affected by any errors. Advancement in computers has led to detection of errors and correction of errors in order to avoid disturbances in digital waves so as to improve the quality. Digital technology is able to delete, insert and substitute symbols to be articulated. Digital technology is most efficient in the industry of cell phones and it has also opened up new horizon for many possible uses (Aaron 29). Televisuality establish social as well as aesthetic categories through several ways, T.V is in a position to make the world a global village this is because it has the ability to change culture effectively unlike any other social or mass media. Through it we are able to know what is going on the society or around the world and we are able to learn the other people’s culture. It makes the cultures to be almost similar and to be closer (Barrat 51). By watching a TV we are transformed from our actual reality of fashion, stylish or fictitious reality. It also has moral issues because it directly influences the character of the viewer. TV it has impacts to all people whether they are old or young they will be influenced through one way or the other. Kids are the ones who are more prone to changing their character and copying those of their heroes whom they worship. The stronger the TV shows impacts the viewer the more the society changes from its culture. Televisuality is not capable of showing the quality of aesthetic categories (Georgea 78). The audience is drifting slowly from their moral standards to the TV shows and the space left is less for the dignified impression and the strong image of the viewers. Television has inherited several things from modernism. First is that they have changed from the analog era to the digital era. Also today people were watching colored TVs unlike in the past. People are also capable of accessing the information from then internet. Television has contributed positively to the post modernism, through its electronic communication and through its gradual change from analogue technology to digital technology. Also the impacts it has on viewers will lead to post modernization because the society we have today in future will be having the same culture regardless of the region (Naomi 38). Digital networks have resembled the broadcast networks in through several ways. Through the use of broadband speeds and mobile access has greatly affected on how people access information and news. It increases the ease through which people who are addicted to media would access any information at any place and any time. It also gave them ready access to many stations broadcasting online. People were also able to download movies. Amateur and professional video clips. The difference between television network and the broadcast network is that a television network is mainly a telecommunication network which is basically used to distribute television programs. On the other hand broadcast network is providing programming services to many pay TV providers or television stations (Georgeb 78). A computer will act as a culture machine because it has an instrument that has many uses. A computer may be used by people to socialize. A computer is of more importance than a diary because this culture which is comprised of technology, it is capable of keeping bulk records of a work of a person or a group and becomes a witness to the persons work. A computer is a machine that may be used for networking (Denis 64). It may be used to either download or to upload but for all these functions the possibility of the new culture machine most of the people may in the download mode. Qn # 2 The study of the evolution of various media such as photography, cinema and digital is useful in understanding the diversity in simulation, origins and technological advancements. The basis of this media is used to identify the different context of application of media in daily life and in the promotion of industry. Past studies have showed the influence of media in societal concerns and in influencing the decisions of people. This essay focuses more on the useful contexts of the media and the daily application in the present and future. The paper has addressed the importance of media including television, photography, cinema and digital era in the identification and promotion of career objectives of an individual. It illustrates personal expressions and forward thinking of how an individual can stimulate the use of media in his or her chosen path of life or career progressively. The study of media has been used in the past in a generative way. It can still be used today and tomorrow by generations to come to improve the daily welfare of the people. In a chosen career, the media can be productive and used to generate more profits and growth. The integration of the study on the uses of media in daily life to the use in personal enhancement is essential in identifying different functions of media and application in industry. The media is therefore useful and can be used in a generative way in many cases be it in design, in art and in make. The aesthetic roles of media in daily life are broad. Aesthetics are generally principles that are concerned with the appreciation of beauty and nature with a special concern in art (Barrat 76). Firstly, the role of television is diverse. The appreciation of the aesthetics of the use of television is essential in order to understand how an artist or a designer can use it to generate wealth. Televisions are useful in advertising and marketing of products as through them, observers can see different things in the world (Aaron 32). They are a medium of entertainment and the programs displayed can be educational. These programs involve general information ranging from innovation, science, technology and teaching to economics and business. In order to generate, a designer or artist has to study the morale, the tastes and preferences of the target market and implement projects that meet these tastes. Besides this, a designer can use the medium to advertise the products and designs. Programs designed to promote the artistic goods should be implemented so as to catch the attention of potential consumers. Television advertising forms the largest form of advertising than any other medium because the sets are affordable and easily available (Barrat 59). Photography is another medium used in the appreciation of beauty in art. Photographs are a hardcopy that can be used to display events, goods or actions in a progressive number. The use of photographs has prevailed over time with major adjustments in the technology and camera formulations. Some important improvements relate to color enhancement from mono which is black and white to a multi-color system. Photographs show an appreciation of nature and art based on the way they are posed and taken. A well -arranged display of photos can be used to depict a pattern that is pleasing to the eye (Georgeb 80). In this case, a designer or artist may employ the use of photos to display his work openly to the public. Great scenic pictures and views can also be shown by a photographer which can secure him a job in a credible organization. Photography in itself is a career whose aesthetics are benefits in themselves. They help realize the beauty in life and in creation and show what humans miss from the common eye. It is through photographs that teachers can describe events and challenges when teaching the students. Artists can use photo images to pull the eye of a consumer and enhance the purchase volume. Besides this, they can dispatch tutorials in form of images to the public to create awareness of some issues in the society (Naomi 42). Another media in use is cinematic projections which came about between 1900 and 1950. They form the second wave of technological media developments and have been in use before the introduction of the television sets. Cinemas are a cheap source of entertainment that is available to people by buying a ticket. It has been used over time as way of relaxation and as an escape from daily worries. This is an important source of education and information for people. It has been said over time to depict historical events and present news as well as scenic cites. Cinemas have been used in the past to teach social, political and moral issues as well as impart change to the society. They depict social evils of poor drinking habits, dowry and large families and how they influence the peaceful atmosphere in the society. As an artist, I would indulge filming and cinemas in showing the importance of embracing art as a means of employment. I would engage in good and constructive cinemas that simulate patterns and represent beauty in the making to generate customers (Barrat 65). Lastly is the digital era which has formed the latest of the technological advancements in media. The introduction of the digital wave in the 21st century has led to tremendous transformation in the ways of living. The movement from analog to digital has necessitated learning and integration into technology in the form of computing and internet (Aaron 35). A digital form of aesthetics has been used in the present for communication, learning, movement and other processes. An artist using digital production has the capability to market and produce easily through networking. Digital systems also add color and reproduce many arts at a single click of the mouse. Digital phenomena also incorporate easy means of communication and reach to customers of good thus translating to more profits. A designer using digital means to sample and display goods as well as advertise has far more advantages than the rest of the media due to fast transmission and consistent feedback (Naomi 45). The day to day living has incorporated the use of various media waves that provide the real concept of simulation and aesthetics necessary for enjoyment of life and that which make life worth living.
