?The Muppets The Muppets is something which really needs to be reviewed. I can remind of a number of elements that keeps it from being a remarkable movie. From a large crew of the loveable fuzzy characters created by puppet master Jim Henson, Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear have embarked on a quest for stardom. Riding in or on a wide range of vehicles, they take a ride to the Hollywood. Their journey is begins with Kermit, who pedals a bicycle. The journey is met with a lot of other friends, to accommodate whom, vehicles are changed. Doc Hopper (Charles Durning) plays a heartless character. This is realized when he requests Kermit to create and advertisement which promotes fried frog legs. Thus, this remains a challenge for Kermit and his friends because every time they preferred resisting the request. Kermit, at the same time have to cope with the passionate feelings for Miss Foggy. There is a lot of homage done to classical films through this appealing children’s adventure. It features casts of Hollywood greats such as Edgar Bergen and Orson Welles. This movie was a great box office success. The song ‘The Rainbow Connection’ of the movie was nominated for the Oscar. Oscar Nominated Shorts-Live-Action Live-action, documentary shorts and animated are three categories during the Oscar program that people knew nothing about. Pentecost (Ireland) is about a dream of an Irish- Peter McDonald, who wants to become a footballer. The sport soccer is a part of everyday life in Ireland. In the starting of the movie, Damien (Scott Graham) is on a suspension at church and grounded at home because he had hit the priest of the church with an incense burner. He is pardoned by the parish when they get to know that the bishop will be visiting. In addition, his father allows him to watch football on TV. Hence, the young lead performs really well throughout the movie. Raju, on the other hand is about a German couple who adopts an Indian boy. The movie is shot in Calcutta. The movie revolves around the quest to find Raju, when he disappears on an outing. Time Freak is a groove of movies on time-travel. A time machine is used by Stillman to travel back to recent events. The Shore (Northern Island) is a story of reconciliation, which is set against past historical events. Tuba, is a clever dark comedy. The star of which is ‘death angel’. It revolves around the track of events of the ‘death angel’, which are lined up when he learns that he has six days to live. We need to talk about Kevin Lynne Ramsay is a British Film maker who has featured this suspenseful and gripping psychological thriller. This movie explores the factious relationship between a mother and her son. Tilta Swindon plays the role of the mother, Eva, in a revitalizing, tour-de-force performance. The mother struggles against her first sons increasing malevolence for 15 years. Ezra Miller plays the role of the first-born child, Kevin. Kevin’s innate evilness is measured against Eva’s own culpability. Hence, exploring the nature vs. nurture debate. It is a thought provoking, fearless and confident movie. The experimental story of the movie is novel based. It is good to see Ramsay back with a bang after such a long time. The kid with a Bike This movie is about a boy who is left in a state run youth farm, abandoned by his father. The kid- Cyril, obsessively searches for his bicycle. The movie is very deep. Cyril places his last bit of hope in the symbol of his relationship with that of his fathers. The town hairdresser agrees to foster him on weekends, in a random act of kindness. This act surprises the hairdresser to find herself so determined to help Cyril. In this film, the Dardenne brothers explore the emotional life of an 11 year old, who searches for father figures, with his wild and unpredictable behavior. The film’s concern is raised by the behavior of the man, with fathers and sons above the education and poverty issues, compelling to a universal moral plane, which is more interesting. Finally, the Dardenne brothers afford huge dignity and strength to Cyril. The Five Obstructions A Danish director, Lars Von Trier, directs this movie. His work is playfully profound, such that it will leave you smiling warmly. The Five Obstructions is both an antidote and a variation to these spectacles of abjection and on their themes of cruelty and domination. Lars Von Trier has depicted the sadistic abuse of a defenseless good-hearted woman. Mr. Von Trier was obsessed with the 12-minute film of Jorgan Leth- ‘The Perfect Human’. Portions of this film are in incorporated in the ‘Five Obstructions’. All the actors filmed in black and white against black backgrounds, is a suave, pseudo-scientific examination of human behavior. The movie combines harsh intimacy with jarring theatricality. The movie was remaked by the older director. First place to reshoot the movie was Cuba, second, it was shot in a slum of Mumbai. While watching the movie, it seems like one is watching two chess masters playing dominoes and a series of therapy sessions being spied. The movie is directed in 4 languages being English, Danish, French and Spanish. 500 days of summer 500 days of summer is an offbeat romantic comedy. It is about a young man who falls for a girl who does not believe in the existence of true love. Mark Webb is the director of 500 days of summer, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zoey Deschanel. Tom (Gordon Levitt) earns his living through writing for greeting cards- being an aspiring architect. His boss employs a new secretary for himself. Upon encountering her, Tom explores how the two of them have very in common, although she seems completely out of his league. The both love the Smiths, and they both are fans of the artist Magritte- as for the starters. Tom is highly infatuated by Summer. All he can think about is her. He praises the belief of soul mates, and he thinks that he has found his. Sadly, Summer isn’t looking for romance since for her, it merely is the stuff of fairy tales. With all his might and courage, Tom convinces Summer that their love is real, and that they are perfect for each other. I’m not there Unconventional biopic of the legendary singer/songwriter Bob Dylan, director Todd Haynes features different actors who play the part of the native Minnesota, at various times of his remarkable career. The actors who are playing as singer are Cate Blanchett, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Richard Gere and Marcus Carl Franklin. Cate Blanchette portrays the man during his Don’t look Back era incarnation. Heath Ledger plays as an actor who is playing one of the fictional Dylans in a movie- within a movie. Christian Bale, is strongly associated with political causes plays as the Dylan beginning to chafe. Richard Gere portrays the period, which is post-motorcycle accident. Marcus Carl Franklin plays the role of a young Dylan who passed himself off as the second coming of Woody Guthrie. There is a different lead actor in every section of the film. Moreover, different looks that reflect the various aspects of popular culture are offered. The Royal Tenenbaums This movie is an offbeat comedy about a dysfunctional family re-union. It is about a successful attorney, Royal Tenenbaum (Gene Hackman), who had three children with his wife, Etheline (Anjelica Huston), who was an archaeologist. Ironically, all the three kids were precious genius. As a child investor, Chas (Ben Stiller) made a large profit. Three times US Nationals winner and a junior tennis champion was Richie (Luke Wilson). The adopted Margot, won a $50000 Braver man Grant while in 9th grade, was a playwright. Suddenly Royal abandons his family. This was the beginning of the two decades of failure and betrayal that would scar the Tenenbaums for the entire life. The story reaches the climax when Royal reappears suddenly claiming, that he as six week to live. Swimming Pool Francois Ozon directs the psychological thriller. The movies stars Charlotte Rampling as a mysterious writer. Sarah (Rampling) accepts the offer of using her publisher’s vacation home. Sarah seems to be conservative and repressed. She clashes with the other inhabitant of the house Julie. She is the inhibited daughter of the publisher. The emotional deep freeze starts to thaw between the two because of Julie’s promiscuous sex life. Their lives are more complicated on the death of one of Julie’s nightly assignations. This movie was screened in the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. One-Hour Photo This movie is a tensed, low-key thriller featuring Robin Williams. Williams run the photo-processing department of a large departmental store. He takes great pride in his work and his highly dedicated in his job. Nina and Will Yorkin are Williams favourite customer. They are an attractive couple with a nine-year-old boy. Since Jake- the young boy was born, the Yorkins would frequently drop off film for processing, and Williams dotes on Yorkins and their son. Nina and Will were kind to Williams attention, regarding him as a harmless eccentric.
