DETERRITORIALIZATION ISSUES IN CRUISE LINES Lecturer: Changes usually occur, and In this case the focus is on the cruise lines, this are luxurious ships that are used for entertainment purposes mainly. Concern raised on the same includes how they have been used and still are being used and the effects that accompany their uses. This are the issues that are being focused on. There has been cases of poor disposal habits which have led to water pollution and other forms of pollution. More over there has been a raise of concern involving attracting the world’s cheapest labour force that is required. This study is on a research carried out to understand the working methods of cruise lines, the challenges they encountered and what effect was caused during the change, including the addition of labour and expansion of the network Basically, the change under focus is negative and the research being carried out is to find out how this happens and what measures can be taken. And how the process of data collection to proof that what is researched about is real is to be carried out and how an agreement can be reached on the solutions to the problems. Introduction This type of research is being carried out to save the tourism industry and majorly to help preserve our ecosystem and the habitat of aquatic creatures. Pollution that is done by disposing of non-biodegradable substances into the water is the cause of this problem that is being addressed. The research is also to confirm whether the cruise ships really are the leading polluting bodies as there is a fleet that goes out on daily purposes for entertainment activities. The other reason for conducting this research is to find ways in which this can be controlled. In addition the research will look into cruise lines that are used widely by water, land, and water. This companies have been involved with mass labour from different sources thus the research to understand the change that happened and what resulted. Details will be looked into to understand this changes and how the leaders of the cruise lines cope. This research will affect the applied community only by limiting their sales to the tourists by holding back some items which may not be allowed in the cruise ships. Basically, this paper is out to enlighten the public on environment conservation and preservation. This also builds on the importance of the research itself. To mobilise the government officials to take a step too to save the tourism industry concerning beach activities and aquatic lessons. Cleaning out the water surface of the affected parts is an exercise that has not been carried out before, its initiation will lead to a realisation of the importance of conserving our waters. Clean water also ensures that life is sustained by both the locales and their source of income and food, fish. Some of the research questions that may be asked during the study may include, when are the cruise ships present in large numbers? What season of the year does this happen? Do any officials schedule them? Is there a limit in a given time when the cruises should be out in the water? Are there any rules involving dumping of wastes in the water? What are the penalties on those who commit such crimes? Are these rules adequate? Are the laws followed? Are the cruises legibly registered? And other questions. Questions and expected answers When are the ships abundant or in large numbers? Here, the response that may be appropriate is the month of the year or a description of the same for example during festivals. What season of the year are the cruise ships abundant? This should be a simple response of the season like summer, or autumn. Are there any schedules made by officers or a limit issued on the number of cruises in the water? This should require a numerical answer where the respondent should state a figure with a range for example 70-250. Are there any rules involving dumping in the water? This is a yes or no question where by the respondent may be required to give further explanation on the same or even state some of the rules stipulated in the region. Are the rules adequate and are they followed? In this question, the expected answer should depend on the behaviour of those who own the ship thus it’s a yes or no question or even may pass with a doubt like maybe. This may also attract a suggestion on whether the rules should be modified. The central idea in this research therefore is environment conservation in the interest of the tourism industry and preservation of aquatic animals. The Theoretical Framework. Tourism is a sensitive industry which should not be overlooked by any means be it money or greed of it. It would be better if guidelines were given to the tourists on how to tour the habitat and leave it in a usable form for future use too. Preserving what is currently available is mandatory and important since it will leave it usable and will be in a usable stateafterwards. When entertainment is brought into the picture hooliganism develops when people are at their peak of happiness, and this is when the don’t-care attitude sets in when no one cares what happens then, which of course later on is regrettable. This led to this research and how there can be control on the same on the crew and owners of the cruise lines. Literature Review Apart from the tourism sector there is also a resultant problem that results from transportation cruise lines which also play a major role in dumping of wastes in the water, there may have been resulted from accidents or intentional causes in either case where oil is involved there is a hefty consequence and this combined with the issue of tourism brings about the sole purpose of this research. According to the Bureau of transportation statistics research is carried out to improve the quality of its services to the customers, and by so doing collects information on what the negative effects are the routes to be followed and the crew they deal with since it’s an all-round cruise line which also works to improve its guidelines to be followed. Change According to this cruise lines labour was required firstly to serve in the different vehicles used for transportation and according to the databases there has been a significant growth on the same. Thus, the change issues that have been observed in the cruise lines cannot be compared to what they were when they were started over 20 years ago. There has been a draw on the cheap world labour force which has also led to a negative change in the field. Issues that have been realized in the process majorly can be competition especially when there is availability of both capital and cheap labour in other cruise lines in the same filed where air land and water are involved not to forget the railway lines which have shown much advancement. Methodology Some the ways obtained the specific cruise lines and studying the changes have taken place they were started and how they still Moreover, data can be collected from the local authority’s offices like the revenue offices and by comparing what has been happening can give a picture of what has been going on. Data can also be gotten from the cruise lines themselves and by giving the chief of such organizations questionnaires concerning the same. The type of data that will be collected may be in the form of figures and answers to specific questions if any are asked in the due course of interviews. The sample to be used can be obtained from all range of the people involved being it male or female from the age of 15 and who are in the secondary level or beyond. Voice recorders may be used to collect audio results to keep proof of the experiences of some of the interviewees. Hopefully the results collected in this research will have a positive impact on the cruise lines and their will have to be a second look on the change that happened to the sector and if it can be revisited to make it better and to change the statistics for once and make it conducive. The requirements of this research paper are to know the impact caused by the boost in the labour sector and to know if it was a positive change and if it requires to be reviewed. Some of the weaknesses that faced the study are not much has been covered about the labour section although it is the primary focus and goal of the research program this is because it involves a wide work load and it may be time consuming and may not yield much in the long run. Thus making the exercise futile without reason. Another weakness of the study is the range of the results that may not be covered in other cruise lines, due to absenteeism or failure of cooperation from the staff or even those that are directly affiliated to the cruise lines.
