Letter of complain I. Put the following phrases into the correct order. d. I am writing to complain about the bungalow accommodationprovided for my family at the Palm Tree Resort, Phuket, Thailand, from 2 - 16 December 2006. When we arrived, the accommodation had not been cleaned, the air conditioning was not working and there was no running water in the bathroom. Although these problems were immediately pointed out to your representative, Mr. Kitching it took nearly a day to restore the running water supply and it was another three days before the air conditioning was repaired.
Secondly, your brochure clearly states that all bungalows have a sea view and are situated in pleasant surroundings. However, our bungalow was a five-minute walk from the beach and located between a car park and a disco that was open every night until 3 a.m. When we requested a change of bungalow, Mr Kitching was offhand and unwilling to try to find a solution. These problems detracted significantly from our enjoyment of the holiday as it was necessary to spend the first day having the room put into a habitable condition, while for the rest of our stay we had very little sleep at night.
I would appreciate it if you look into this matter.as soon as possible with a view to refunding my money in full.II. I would appreciate if you would look into the matter as soon as possible with a view to refunding my money in full.Yours faithfully,To the Manager,Hilton hotels,P.o. box 1614-00502Nairobi KenyaDear sir/ madam, RE: Complain of poor accommodation services. I am writing to complain about the poor accommodation services you rendered to me when I visited your hotel with my fiancé on 31st January 2014 for a buffet. Firstly, the room was poorly lighten and it was deem in the rooms. This made it hard for us to see the room and our belongings.
Secondly, there was no soap in the showers and bed sheets were dirty. Even though your brochure clearly states otherwise. In addition, the rooms did not have proper floor as stated in your brochure which states that the floor is tiled. Furthermore, the water flow was poor and even bathing became a nightmare. I stayed in room number 206 and it was a very uncomfortable time for me for I had expected to have a good time with my fiancé. This never came true. I therefore recommend that you refund my money unlike your previous offer of vouchers and act to my complain as soon as possible.
Thank you and am expecting to hear from you soon.Yours faithfully,To the manager,Hilton hotels,P.o box 1416-00502Nairobi Kenya.Dear sir / madam, RE: Complain of cooling system in your hotel.I hereby submit my complain about the cooling system in your hotel. As we all know during the last one month it has been summer and cooling is vital when it comes to health matters. I was in your hotel on date 22 July 2013 and I did not like it there. To begin with, the cooling system was not working properly.
In addition, the fan was not working. This made the room unbearable to stay in. However, this forced me to open all the windows of the room and mosquitoes took the advantage. Furthermore, malaria became a threat to me and I bought mosquito repellant. Even though the windows were open still it was unbearable to stay in. I had to walk around the park until morning to avoid staying in the room as your manager was not present for me to report. I would suggest you repair the cooling system as soon as possible and compensate me for the hardship I went through in terms of money or vouchers.
Thank you and am waiting to hear from you soon.WORK CITEDNevalainen, Terttu. Letter writing. Amsterdam: J. Benjamins Pub. Co., 2007.
