The Facebook moment entails the branded behaviours and branded memories that people have about their past life and different events that happened in the past. Aesthetic is highly appreciated by people whereby people post photographs to the social media, such as Facebook to attract people’s comments. This essay seeks to explore that use of selfies, creepshots, and other contemporary online practices to enhance digital memory. The essay shows how communication technology can be applied to remind people about their good and bad moments in the past. The content of the essay is primarily from a number of articles and journals published on the same assemblage. People used to remember their past moments because of having some captured Kodak photographs. Because of emergence of communication technology, things turned to easier and direct because it is possible to capture photographs and save them in facebook profile for reference in the future. Selfies and creepshots identify the images of people, things, occasions, and events whereby saving them on facebook, it is possible to remember. Aesthetic is very common and becomes applicable after emergence of advanced technology; nevertheless, people can capture many things using digital cameras. It is clear that people post photographs doing weird things and looking funny and target attracting people to see them and make comments. According to the argument put forth by Munir and Phillips (2005), the pictures that are posted in the social media might make many people glued to the facebook pages as they try to compare and make judgments regarding different photographs. Selfies and creepshots are becoming very common as the number of social media subscribers increases because different people post different aesthetic photographs in their pages. Facebook images are so amazing to an extent of attracting many people towards people’s pages and invitations. This is because they enhance gaining of memory of the events and moments enjoyed in the past. The memory assemblage makes a clear framework, which enables interpretation of the past moments in to the current situations. It is necessary as people consider aesthetic moments to consider the features of the picture posted. One should post a picture of a person whom he or she likes to look at, or whom will enable him or her have a good memory. Posting of selfies might look attractive, but it requires one to understand how to use the digital cameras and the computer programs to make the selfies look good. When posting some creepshots, it is advisable not to put strange pictures because they might look confusing. Some people post creepshots that show their sad moments and others the moments when they are happy. As articulated by Geissler (2010), photographs and pictures are good things used to enhance gaining of memory about the past events and moments. When people see picture of events and occasions that happened in the past, especially when they were happy, this motivates them and makes them happier to manage coping with future life. Using digital cameras makes it possible to crop a picture in the way one wishes it to look. This is where one can change the image of a person or something to look very different or to resemble someone or something else in order to attract people into it. As postulated by Van Dijck (2008), it is possible to post videos of different occasions and events whereby some capture the moments of having fun and others during sad moments. There are times when people are in their best moments and they would wish to keep them in their memories. Through the communication technology, which enhances digital memories, it becomes possible for one to capture the exact event and post it in the social media, such as facebook to have memory of it whenever one wishes to remember such happenings. Van House and Churchill (2008) argue that, youths are the most affected people in creepshots since they are the majority subscribers of social media and they share the selfies and pictures with their friends from the social media. It is evident that, many social media subscribers have a number of pictures, creepshots, and selfies posted in their pages to enable other identify them and understand their lives better. The online practices enable people to save softcopies of many pictures and videos of different events and moments in their lives. Ultimately, as people age, it gives them good memories of what happened in their youth and reminds them of what they used to do and how they used to behave in the past. Manžuch (2009) states that technology is very essential and useful in keeping memories of many things and events that used to happen in the past and this enables many people to face challenges after being reminded of where they began. Van Doorn (2011) identifies that, some people post pictures of others in bad forms in order to revenge against some things done to them by those people and this is not good morals, but people should post creepshots that cannot hurt or provoke other people. Reading (2014) articulates that, some people use the digital photographs to advertise and market things and through some past postings, it is possible for people to have memories of things and goods that were sold and purchased in the past. This influences the public demand for the past things to be brought back in the market especially for the goods and services that were banned in the past and might be significant to the current generation. Application of technology has great impact in the way people get memories of different occasions and moments they happened to witness or go through in the past. Oliveira, Rebolledo, Hildebrand and Foglia (2013) state that, digital memory can be traumatic to some people especially when they remember about moments they went through hardships and torture. In addition, digital memory offers entertainment to majority of people because of watching creepshots and selfies of moments when they were happy or watching some entertaining videos. It is apparent that, there are some moments that people would wish to be reversed in their future lives because of the way they were good and favourable to them. Good (2013) points out that, people are always ready to share the creepshots of moments when they were very happy or when they had some achievements in their lifetime. Some aesthetics are highly attractive to people especially when they are posted in a way that other people can learn from them or enjoy viewing them. To post pictures in the social media is very easy especially to the digital generation where majority of people know how to use the advanced technology in their daily activities. Some people remember of their moments when they were in school after finishing their studies, which enable them to focus to the future with higher determination. Through the digital photography, it is possible to have clear memory of the past and using communication technology, one manages to share such memories with friends and relatives through the social media. According to the argument put forth by Hariman and Lucaites (2014), aesthetic memories can enable people to change their behaviour from being bad people to being good people after being reminded of how they used to behave and what impact their behaviour had in their lives. It is apparent that a past moment can make a person change his or her behaviour after having memories that are disturbing one’s mind. Nevertheless, through the digital memories and decisions of changing one’s behaviour, it becomes possible for one to live a better life and a life to be admired by others. Oliveira et al. (2013) state that, in the digital age, people encounter many mediated memories that make majority to wish having the past with them in the current generation. There is also the network memory that enables people to share their aesthetic memories with others in the society. As people social network, they manage to learn a lot from the shared digital memories. Conclusion Memory assemblage is applies heavily in the current generation because of digital technology that enhance posting of aesthetics for people to have memories of what used to happen in the past. It is apparent that, through communication technologies, such as social media and use of online applications, people post selfies, creepshots and other pictures and videos that remind them about the past moments that the happened to go through.
