However it is important to note that technology plays an important role in the current situation with regards to innovations. The use of technology is for the purposes of ensuring that the product can be integrated in the technological aspects which are relevant in the particular field. It is also important to note that technology is currently used in most of the aspects of life. Discussion Idea The idea about the new innovative product was developed through teamwork. Working with the team members as important as it ensured every member contributed towards the development of the new product. However the main idea was based on the use of timers in most of the equipment that are used on a daily purpose. The use of the timers has reduced the workload for most of the people as it automates the tasks that were initially done manually. Brainstorming on how to automate the motor vehicles was also based on the new technology of the driverless cars. The auto driverless timer car has a timer that is fixed on it together with a mini screen for setting the time. A mobile phone can also be used for the purposes of setting the timer. Once the time has been set, the car is supposed to move to the required destination at the set time. This means that the car can be set to pick a child from school at a certain time then also pick a different person in a different location. All this is done automatically as the car is driverless and it drives only at the set time to the required destination. The idea is derived from the existing driverless cars (Wuensche, et al, 2012). The new product is meant to ensure that the cars can perform their tasks at the set time without the need of a driver. New product design The first step that was involved in the design of the new product was the generating of ideas. This is after analyzing how the people are inconvenienced by having to drive personally from one point to the other. The auto driverless car also required improvements and hence the generation of the idea. A few people were also interviewed regarding their opinion on the auto driverless car which also contributed to the idea. Preliminary designs were then carried out so as to ensure that the timer is fixed on the driverless cars.
