The alternative hypothesis states that senior citizens do not know how to use computers and have more problems that restrict their ability to acquire the knowledge.

We accept the study if the research identifies there is a difference and reject the same if no difference occurs. Thus, if the null is true, then the study is irrelevant while if the alternative is accepted, then study shows that technology barrier exists among the senior citizens.
