The research outcome was to be used by government and other non-governmental organizations promoting accurate information. A study by Remler and Van in (2011), shows that to achieve such accuracy, the sample must be relatively small and simple methods of analysis. The data collected would also be easy to analyze with the relevant statistical tools such as regression. Moreover, errors due to complex data are significantly minimized that might lead to false information leading to inaccurate recommendations (In Gil, 2013).

Research design 12Discourse analysis was used for more comprehensive analysis. It provides for the use of such statistical tools as t-statistic, z-score, and the Fisher distribution. This formed the basis of the research hypothesis. The null hypothesis states that senior citizens are computer literate and experiences relatively no barriers to the computer user. The alternative hypothesis states that senior citizens do not know how to use computers and have more problems that restrict their ability to acquire the knowledge.

We accept the study if the research identifies there is a difference and reject the same if no difference occurs. Thus, if the null is true, then the study is irrelevant while if the alternative is accepted, then study shows that technology barrier exists among the senior citizens. Contribution to knowledge 15Chapter three is going to discuss the broad end of the topic under study. It is going to do this through analyzing the previous arguments fetched from studies related to this one, and also through examining four theories on senior members of the society.
