To what extent is the computer culture - the net, computer art, email as communication - a new kind of cultural and aesthetic form and to what extentdoes it rework older mediums Let from the initial stage begins with stating what exactly the meaning of Computer Culture. Is a social revolution era, whereby computer replaces the old styles of many ways of human endeavors from the primitive and old system skipping to the new technological advanced system. These include information system and many others which the innovation of computer device replaces. It also includes net, art and Email, which are used forms of communication system in the modern technology. However, (Zerne Berge), states that "Technology changes both what we can do and what we decide is best to do; big shifts in culture cannot occur until the tools are available". Meanwhile, before the advent of computer system of communication what are some ways used in order to communicate One of the examples of these systems is the Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS), which is still used but not increasingly in some parts of the world. Most of the residential and places of businesses still adhere to that system, but only occasionally. While in some other parts of the world they have already adapt to more advanced system of communication. "In the early 1980s, MIT professor (Sherry Turkle) first called the computer a "second self." With this essay, she presents a major new theory of "evocative objects": Wearable computers, PDAs, online multiple identities, "companion species" (such as quasi-alive virtual pets, digital dolls, and robot nurses for the elderly), "affective computing" devices (such as the human-like Kismet robot), and the imminent age of machines designed as relational artifacts are causing us to see ourselves and our world differently. They call for a new generation of psychoanalytic self-psychology to explore the human response and the human vulnerability to these objects". NET AS COMPUTER CULTURE: "This new technology allows individuals and organizations from different cultures to negotiate with each other, without being aware of their partner's nationality or culture. One could argue that in the impersonal world of electronic information exchange, the importance of cultural differences diminishes". (Kersten2003) While the Internet has greatly simplify Communication of any basic, in view of the fact that, one can simply get like business information and others on line, from all parts of the world, just instantly, without undergoing pains much pains for achieving that, not like before the advent of Communication through computer when it takes longest time before that is achieved. (Richard Weisgrau and Victor Perlman, 2006), states some advantages of Computer as a means of Communication; "You can learn about prospective clients' business habits, exchange price information, access photography fee calculators, and even find how much the cost of living is escalating so you can adjust your pricing accordingly". (Richard Weisgrau and Victor Perlman, 2006) added; "Many stock agencies operate on the Internet. The larger ones have image search and pricing information online. Two of them, Corbis and Getty Images, are the largest agencies in the world. You can search through thousands of images in their archives. More important, you can price images for many different uses at their sites. Unlike pricing recommendations contained in pricing and licensing software, the online prices are the actual price lists of the companies that display them, that is, they are real prices. As such, these price lists can be more reliable guides than other sources of pricing information. To access these price lists you will have to register with the site. It is an easy process that immediately allows you to see pricing information. Once you register, you don't have to do it again when accessing the site in the future". Email is also another form of easy communication in the new technological system of computer communication through Internet. It is one of the fastest ways of communication, which deals with sending letters, document, pictures and many other objects, and can be receive instantly. Its supplements many other ways, such like sending letters through old ways of using post offices and others. The (Email Uses) explains that "Email allows individuals and groups to communicate with one another. Imagine that you've been asked to coordinate work on a proposal to address a problem in your dorm or Greek organization. You need to get information and ideas from people living in your dorm or house, from members of the surrounding community, from university officials, and perhaps other groups. Once you've established contact with these groups and individuals, you can gather and share information as well as elicit reactions to on-going proposals through email rather than face-to-face meetings or repetitive telephone calls". Additionally, Email replaces old types of communication as one can simply communicate effectively and instantly with a. "Individuals b. Effective Message with Individuals c. Small Groups d. Effective Message with Small Group e. Effective Message with Large Group f. Writing General Announcement g. Eliminating Junk Mail" (Email Uses) In all forms of modern Business and Marketing, email plays vital roles toward easy business communication across the globe without much pains as it was before it advent. It also works for Marketing Consultant. Marketing consultant from across the world can advertise their products and what they are doing for the attention of business partners worldwide. (The Effective Uses of Emails for Realtors) tells 4 steps on how business transaction is eased through computer culture via email. 1. "Communicate easily with buyers and sellers. If you have buyers still looking for the right home, you can email them new listings without concern about time of day or whether they are at work or home. You send the email off and they pick it up at their convenience. You can even attach photos of properties. 2. Email is a great way to let sellers know about market activity, recent sales, and showings that may have taken place when they were not home. Sending sellers email updates once a week is a good way to keep them involved and informed. 3. Keep on top of service providers like title companies, lenders, and appraisers. Email reminders help speed up delivery of services. The ability to order and receive a pest control inspection via email can cut what is often a ten-day wait down to a day or two. And when that report arrives, forwarding a copy of it to buyer and seller can be just a mouse click away. 4. Send lenders and title companies needed documentation. Reducing some of that from paper to digital form is all well and good, but if you can't deliver the digital documents, you're back to square one. You can send an entire file via email". CONCLUSION: In conclusion, we learns that with the advent of computer culture which enable communication via internet, emails and computer art, has drastically brings change in no small measure toward enhancing mode of communication worldwide, and replaces older medium which were not adapted electronically, but manually.
