Additionally, computer assisted surgery is linked with robotic surgery since most robots used in surgery are guided by computer systems. Therefore, computer assisted surgery can be as basic as a computer system being used to facilitate a convenient and efficient surgery through image processing, or a more complex system whereby a computer system is used in performing an entire surgery through the help of specific robotics (Klir 386).
