Summary
The paper "The Pollution Caused by Combustion of Oil in an Engine" discusses that oil prices have risen multi folds during the last twenty years or so. The main reason for this is that the supply of oil is limited and its demand more then just outweighs the supply level. …

Extract of sample "The Pollution Caused by Combustion of Oil in an Engine"

Since oil is a nonrenewable resource, it is meant to deplete one day and hence safer alternatives need to be found so that the engines continue to work. It was also considered that since water is found in abundance if car engines could be powered through water then the cost of driving a car would not only go down multi folds but also the pollution level would go down as when water is used up by an engine, it won't give out carbon dioxide.

During this research, we aim to design a water-based engine, such that it would require water intake to power a car and would not give out carbon dioxide as a by-product, but only pure oxygen. Such a discovery would also help to reduce pollution and clean up the environment. From a health point of view, less carbon dioxide would mean much fewer diseases, particularly cases of cancer and allergies. Read More
