In this research, the researcher put forward the question as to what degree has the decrease in firefighter deaths been driven by the drop in the number of fires. The author’s main argument is that more than protective measures and equipment, the reduction in structural fires have paved the way to a reduction in firefighting casualties. What methodology/framework /approach is being implemented? What are the implications and/or conclusions being made by the work?

In this research paper, a quantitative methodology is used as the statistics and casualties incurred by the firefighters during a span of time are analyzed. The conclusion made by the work is that the firefighter needs to be given proper training to avoid fatalities and professional trainers need to be employed to educate the firefighters in a scientific manner.Is/are the author’s main argument(s) convincing or persuasive?
