The strategy of outsourcing it designed goods is out maximizing profit while disregarding the plight of the laborer. This is unethical conditions that ought the company being prosecuted to uphold ethical business conducts.
Nike engages in unethical business practices to edge it competitors in the market share. The company faces severe competition from Adidas, Puma and other companies in China and Europe (Forbes). Therefore, given that the market for athlete’s costumes attracts many producers, Nike thus prefer to have it products manufactured in countries that have low cost of labor. Moreover, the company runaway from the strict laws that are set out in countries such as the U.s and majority of European countries.
I conclusion, unethical business practices are not healthy for a competitive market because it exploits some part of the supply chain in the production, transportation and marketing businesses.
