Abstract
Being fit is one of the most overwhelming feelings that a person can have. In our society, women are more obsessed with maintaining body fitness since it reflects a state of good health, well-being, and ability to perform their daily chores effectively without straining. Losing body fat and attaining physical fitness is attributed to proper nutrition, moderate to vigorous exercises, and sufficient rest. However, uncontrolled physical activities driven by obsession and lack of resting may negatively impact one's health.
Introduction
In society, body fitness is perceived differently depending on gender. For example, men dwell on having muscles and strong abs for showing off while women focus on weight loss, especially cellulite and abdominal fat, and slim bodies. In both parties being fit boosts self-esteem and gives one confidence when among the peers. However, in most cases, people may be obsessed with weight loss, which eventually may lead them to depression, mainly if the desired results are not achieved. Weight loss and body fitness in women are more difficult due to aspects like childbearing, variations of hormones, and most of them not involved in high energy-requiring activities.
Methodology
This type of research is qualitative. It will aim to gather in-depth knowledge of how humans are affected by body fitness and fat loss and the reasons that push them into seeking physical fitness.
