Members of such families struggle to afford education, face domestic abuse, engage in crime and experience low self-esteem (Silva et al., 2014).It emerges that it is important to conduct a detailed research on the connection between teenage pregnancy and poor relationship with parents. The results obtained shall enable the government and other organizations to Control teenage pregnancy. As a result, it will reduce government expenditure in the health care and welfare of the teenagers, and even their families. Finally, the establishment will also help to control the spread of sexually transmitted diseases like HIV/AIDS. Aim of the research In this research, I seek to investigate the relationship between teenage pregnancy and poor family relationship. Here, the variables to be tested include the effect of teenage pregnancy on rates of family breakdown, abandoned children and the impacts of the post-pregnancy depression. In this research, I shall conduct my research in Bradford, UK. The analysis shall enable establishment of the connection, thus a foundation for the eradication of the variables researched on. Context According to the World Health Organization (WHO), fact sheet number 364, approximately 16 million girls aged between 15 and 19 give birth every year. In addition, one million girls aged fewer than 15 also gives birth every year (Hamilton et al., 2012). Most of these teenagers come from low and middle-income nations. The World Health Organization also stated complication during pregnancy and childbirth as the second cause of death among teenagers, globally. The research also indicated that almost three million girls aged 15 to 19 undergone unsafe abortions, yearly, and that babies born to these teenage parents face a higher risk of infant deaths (Gibb et al., 2014). Teenage pregnancy affects everyone starting from the immediate family, local community to the entire nation. Financial statements approximate the cost of teenage pregnancy to the taxpayers of a country to be up to $ 8 million per year (Whitaker et al., 2014). Teenage pregnancy is also linked poor family relationships and even family breakdowns. It is also notable that single mothers on welfare were a teenager when they gave birth to their first child. Alongside the healthissue, a large percentage of teenage mothers do not also finish their high school education. It thus results in an individual living a life with an uncertain future (Robinson et al., 2015). The children born to this teenage mother suffer both emotional and developmental problems. These children suffer the risk of sexual abuse and neglect because their parents lack the appropriate knowledge and resources for quality parenting (Tang et al., 2014). Such children will, possibly, grow with poor parental guidance, inadequate education, and poor environment and eventually start adopting bad habits like drug abuse. The same habit will thus be depicted by the children and even the grandchildren and could bring untold challenges to the community and the nation as the whole (Gibb et al., 2014). Gibbs (2014) studied the effects of teenage pregnancy and teenage motherhood on the socioeconomic and sociology of the individual family in connection with the cause and reaction to teenage pregnancy. They attested that teenage pregnancies are connected to drug abuses, poor academic performance, unplanned pregnancies, and abject poverty (Robinson et al., 2015). Some of the predictor for teenage motherhood that was analyzed by the specialist include; having a mother who was herself a teenage mother, truancy and exclusion, physical and sexual abuse among others Silva et al., 2014). According to McCall, teenage mothers are on the other hand at risk of repeat unplanned pregnancies, poor diet during pregnancy, low breastfeeding rates, and drug abuse during pregnancy (Hamilton et al., 2012).. They were also considered as predictors of sociological problems. The babies, who are born to these teenagers, also have a higher risk of hospitalization.This is as a result of accidental injuries, development delays, low birth weight, premature birth, poor nutrition and lower academic achievements (McCall et al., 2015). Records of drug abusers collected from the rehabilitation centers also provided reliable information to help the scientist to narrow down to the susceptible families. Such record were used to single out individuals with the history of a single parent, born to teenage mothers, level of education of the parent and the individuals (Tang et al., 2014). The information would then be filtered so as to obtain the predictors that could guide the researchers. Methodology Data collection Sending of questionnaires The researcher shall administer questionnaires to sampled groups in Bradford. These questionnaires shall be used to gather information about cases of teenage pregnancy, the frequency of occurrence and the actual age of occurrence. Then, the second part shall gather information on the victims of teenage pregnancy alone. Here, they shall be asked about the effects in regard to parent-teenager relationship, father-daughter relationship as well as the general community. Statistical analysis In order to find the relevance of the information collected, it shall be analyzed statistically, using the correlation, a measure of central tendency and the hypothetical analysis. The technique of non-likelihood strategy will be used to strengthen the research since the analyst incorporates intentional testing that will help degenerate cases among the population. The expected case will then be guided to provide subjective criticism to the analyst (Hamilton et al., 2012). Consequently to make a rough outline of 10 members/families, a personal meeting will be organized. At the meeting the scientist will talk about how the study has been organized and the need to understand the subjectivity, related to teenage pregnancy and teenage motherhood in shaping poor social and economic, of the community and the nation at large (Hamilton, 2012).
