Illegal Mexican in the US should be allowed to stay According to Hanel, the Mexican illegal immigration to the US startedmany years ago (45). Their entry into the country varies because it could have been as a result of an overstayed visa travel or illegal crossing-over of US border from Mexico. However, the settlement of Mexican immigrants on the US soil has lead to a lot of benefits, especially, contributing to the growth of the US economy. The US government should, therefore, give them guest worker permits, residency, green cards and amnesty to encourage their efforts towards becoming important human resources in the US.

Despite a perception that all illegal immigrants are unskilled, low-income earners, and uneducated they have positive input to the general American economy and society. For instance, they participate in unskilled job opportunities such as fast food workers, parking lot attendants, line operators, cleaners, information desk clerks and construction labourers. It also implies that they reduce the cost of blue collar job in the market. Even though the unskilled Mexican immigrants do not contribute directly to the tax collection by the government, they indirectly increase the total tax revenue collected in working sectors they participate (Hanel, 28).

Due to their extended stay in the country, Mexican immigrants reproduce with time and their population increases. This comes with it a new generation of immigrants born in the US who make use of American public amenities like public hospitals. In addition, the children also attend schools to access their basic need. It, therefore, implies that by Mexican immigrants utilizing the public amenities, they provide employment opportunities to experts involved, increasing their incomes and relatively impacting on the national GDP (Lloyd and List 34).

However, despite the few disadvantages of having illegal Mexican immigrants in the country, the government should not force them out. Morally, it should find a way to accommodate them and regulate their entry. These can be achieved by strengthening the border security and passing a law requiring all immigrants to be registered. One way to ensure that immigrants registration is adhered to is to pass harsh penalties to all those found violating the rule. However, upon registration the government should give Mexican Immigrants Guest Worker Permits and residency so that they can turn to be important US human resources (Anderson, 31).

It is logical if the US government allowed the Mexican immigrants, who are already in the country, to stay but limit entry of more immigrants. The government should concentrate and maximize the positive contributions of the Mexican immigrants to the economy and the society. It should view Mexican immigrants as available human resources that can be exploited for the purpose of increasing the country’s Gross Domestic Product.
