I think that Mexicans illegally in the country ought to be allowed to stay, given amnesty, guest worker permits, green cards, and even residency. Concerning the Declaration of America’s Independence, everyone is created equal and born with alienable rights. Therefore, America must just go with that idea and as a result, will aid many people to achieve their dreams. America is a country of free and brave men. The Mexicans also contribute to the federal and local tax base, these illegal Mexicans also work.
Most Americans do not take up jobs that pay little or minimum wages, but the scenario is different for these people. They came to the country for opportunities and to improve their living standards and as a result, they would take up any job and by doing so, they also participate in the payment of taxes. Americans only know best how to claim that there are no jobs yet they do not go out and look for them as the Mexicans struggle in looking for the same jobs and finding them (Garcia).
Immigrants in the country improve the country’s economy. A high population means an increased labor force hence more revenue for the country which in turn improves the country’s economy through their hard work and talents. They toil day and night and would take up any job to make their lives better. Whilst many Americans complain that the Mexicans take up their housing and health services, it’s not true because Obama Care is currently taking care of the social services that everyone needs in the country.
I strongly support the move to allow illegal immigrants that are already living in America for years to apply for a legal way that would allow them to live in the country legally (Buff). A great number of Mexican children attend public schools because their parents and families are unable to afford private schools. The mere fact that they attend government-sponsored schools does not mean they deplete the country’s resources. All children are equal and should be allowed to pursue their education.
They also contribute to the country’s economy and hence they too can make use of the services offered by the local clinics and hospitals (Ramos).
