Social Studies What DR. Parenti mean by; a) Welfare of the rich These are social gathering that are permanently formed upon the governments legal grant to give the rich financial support and growth. Dr, Parenti observed the behaviors of the rich and famous people in the U.S and noticed that, in the society and government the rich still need the same support even if their status is different. Dr. Parenti notes that the rich also need to belong to certain association that could help them pull through in times of financial distress. This means that at most times the developed nations have the developed wealthy people running the most outstanding association in the nation. b) Federal bailout These are general programs that are created to form a financial defense to organizations in the society. They are association created to act as a helping hand in times of financial stretches. The federal bailouts are mostly useful to prevent a downfall of an association in case insolvency and bankruptcy may have given signs of taking place (Parenti, p. 60). c) Helping the rich in their time of greed (taxes)? Dr. Parenti noticed the highly repeated habit of the rich venturing in the government’s money that the state has collected and mostly lending or giving the rich people in their social or financial associations as bailout to help them step out of financial crisis and make more money. This brings home the facts that the rich need more money to make greater wealth. On the same platforms the poor association can never begin the same bailing out chance, and yet through their daily taxes they are able to get bailing out help. According to Parenti (65-66), helping the rich in times of greedy is an unfair opportunity given to the common man. Do you see any connection between corporate donations to political candidates and above policies (welfare for the rich)? Yes, there is a connection between the two. The According to Parenti, a common man creates and develops welfares that run in the community to a stage that they can participate as bailing out corporations. In this regards the rich men come in to political arenas and aspire to take the common association for their own political benefits at the end of the day (Parenti, p. 65), notes. Here when such a situation arise, the welfare for the is highly evident because at this point the politician who needed a financial boast towards his or her political career is uplifted through a financial boast from the welfare. It can therefore be noted that politicians are highly connected to the welfares that are top in performance because they are the backup and bailout plan whenever they need are in financial crisis. Bai (1) points out that the highly respectful people in the society have to protect their political image at all times even if it means undermine other people’s life opportunities. They are given favors and privileges over the common man such as being above some policies and regulation that are to be observed by them. According to Lioz and Bowie (1), this makes such candidates to dominate the people that are to eventually come and vote for them. Policies like the amount limit to be borrowed may be waived to suit their circumstance at particular time. Something that rarely takes place may take place a couple of times just because a political figure is involved. Sometimes if such a political figure is a member of the corporation then the donations given out are automatically in favor of the political figure involved. What does Greenberg and Page have to say about the influence of powerful interesting groups on our political system? The powerful interesting groups on our political system have the big say in the political arena. They run the system according to their interest and ideas because they tend to take over the political sphere in which they deny the practice of equity and fairness in the society. In reference to, (Parenti, p, 203), the interesting groups tend to fund the political shows in which at the end of the day, they become the undercover people running the events in their own directions and for their own advantage and advancements. Greenberg and Page view this as the movers and takers of politics to be the famous political figures that run the society through the rich man’s welfares in the communities. The influence of interesting powerful groups has become a practicing custom in the political sphere which has caused minimal chances for growth to the common man in a common or public welfare who desires to stand and make a difference in the society, (Lioz and Bowie, p. 1), states. In one way it has become a barrier to change and growth of the common welfare that the rich people indirectly betray. As much as the interesting powerful groups intend to do good, their interest always comes first in making money for themselves before any other social, political agenda. How did George Bush as the president of the United States respond to corporate interest? When Parenti was in office, he started by paying great attention to social and community and worldwide matters that were affected by the taxation and duly paid interest by the rich who were oppressing the common man at some point (Lioz and Bowie, p. 1), states. The president George Bush was able to cut down the corporate interest that were not giving a central gain that could be seen and enjoyed by everyone in the society. According to, (Lioz and Bowie, p. 1), his primary interest started in making fair inputs in the welfares that were undermined the taxation rates. He also allocated funds for global benefits rather than corporate benefits that had been previously allocated to the rich corporations in the country. In addition to national issues, the President George Bush promoted general economic policies and made of broad reduction of the taxation rates that were out in place. In relation to, (Lioz and Bowie, p. 1) in election matter his main agenda was to create systematic political forums that any public member can be able to stand and participate as a candidate or voter without facing any high interesting charges whatsoever. In reference to,(Parenti, p. 68), through such achievement he was rated as one among few presidents who were most common and popular in history by the reflection of their great thought that were practically performed for not only America’s benefit but for the worlds universal benefit. Conclusion In conclusion, good democracy is an evidential factor of how good the political leaders are and what their consideration in the public governmental positions are. Moreover, democracy is more of a growing baby willing to be natured to take the next step ahead. In addition, development is progressive positive change and just like the changes that President George Bush effectively crated so should any other political leader imitate and make a greater difference in the world.
