Even without taking these foods, I would feel that I had gained some 10lbs. On the other hand, my brothers would eat whatever food they needed, and they would not even gain an ounce. This was extremely frustrating to me, and I was not happy with my conditions. It is important to explain that Jeddah foods are one of the leading fast food restaurants in Saudi Arabia, and it is popular amongst students and young people. In my opinion, my frequent visits to this fast food restaurant played a role in my weight gains.

However, I came to realize that some of my friends, including my brothers were not gaining weight. This is because of the kind of food that they were taking at the Jeddah restaurant. Some of my friends and brothers were not taking lots of caloric foods. This played a role in limiting the weight that their bodies could attain. Furthermore, some of these people used to exercise a lot, this is after classes. Most of them were playing games, such as soccer, volley ball, basketball, which played a role in reducing their body fats.

It is these exercises that I was not engaged in. When I became an adult, this problem of weight gain, was still in my life. I was very uncomfortable with it, and I was looking for ways and means of reducing my weight. Furthermore, it is during this period in time when my weight was ever increasing. For example, I remember during the month of Ramadan, when I was engaged in fasting, one of friends came out and taunted me, on why I was not fasting. This is because my weight was still the same, and some were saying that I was increasing.

This was extremely embarrassing to me, because during this period in time, we have an obligation to fast, and being unable to fast is a sign that an individual goes against the religious cultural beliefs of the people of Saudi Arabia.
