A family is the basic unit of society, hence prone to various conflicts. Domestic violence is an example of these inter-family conflicts. I have learned how to conduct a peaceful negotiation, which is aimed at solving these conflicts amicably either at the family level or community level. Additionally, I have learned about the importance of labor division both at the family and communal levels. Labor division always binds these societal units together hence ensuring peaceful coexistence. Lastly, through this course, I have learned about the significance of norms as the laws guiding every social setting. I have learned that to reduce anomie at the family or community level, unethical behaviors should always be punished and custom behaviors rewarded.

Leadership is often challenging when it comes to making general decisions for a given team. From this course, I have learned various leadership skills such as relating with my workmates and delegating work duties. Additionally, I have also learned about problem-solving skills in teamwork, which is an essential requirement in a conflict resolution career.

Motivating people boosts their self-esteem. A motivated team will always be on the right track with respect to perfection in time management, interpersonal relations, and attitudes toward one another. In this course, I have learned that motivation integrates individuals and society as a whole. Motivation also boosts people’s morale. Communal work, for example, uplifts cultural practices and individuals’ self-images in society.

As a leader, I will continue working on various cultural practices to boost my skills in conflict resolution and management. Branson argues that understanding practices in cultural diversity is always the key leadership role in conflict resolution management (Branson 2009). A number of unethical cultural practices have emerged in this century, which usually leads to conflicts. Strong leadership skills in this field should be based on a better understanding of cultural integration and diversity in order to solve emerging cultural issues, which are culturally unacceptable.

The biggest knowledge I have learnt from this course is the gender, cultural, and individual considerations skills in a team’s dynamics. Additionally, I have also learned about the strategic management plan of a societal conflict management structure.

To increase my group’s discussion collaborations, we have organized motivational speaking sessions where each group member will share his or her overall life experiences and cultural practices without any bias. This strategy is primarily aimed at boosting members’ morale and collaboration which will help us understand each other better.

It has been awesome experience training in the conflict resolution field. Through our group work assessments, I have learned that I am an extroverted sensing personality. Additionally, am a fast learner, and amongst my group members, I easily grasped the contents we are taught about strategic creation and maintenance of an effective team without any struggle.
