This paper discusses about the graduated sanctions, different options in graduated sanction and the suitable methods. A graduated sanction is a way of intervention of the criminal justice, which punishes the offenders each time they offend. This system is used to reduce struggle and rehabilitates offenders. This program address the underlying family, school, peer group and an individual problem that is used to change offenders. Graduated sanctions has been beneficial, it has reduced costs, increased accountability by the juvenile and community (Fagan & Zimring, 2000).

A comprehensive strategy was setup in aim to improve the juvenile system, where offenders undergo a graduated sanction. Its goal is to enhance the program effectiveness and accountability, while trying to limit the cost of juvenile corrections. This system has improved the juvenile justice to the offenders.
